Silka West Kowloon Hotel (Formerly Known As Dorsett Kowloon Hotel Hong Kong)

Overall a nice clean hotel in a good location. Since I travelled alone, the small room (and it is small) did not bother me. Most important was a good location, not too far from the shopping marks, and close to many places to eat. If you are over 5'8, the short bed size might cause a problem

Five minutes walk to metro, when it rained, did not even get wet. Then the train takes you in another five minutes or so to Hong Kong station. So, you almost stay on the island, at half or third the price. Actually this was the cheapest I found, and didn't regret it for a second. Room was reasonably large (although the bed was intended for someone less than 5'11''), nice view to the island (but, well, other less attractive buildings also). Some access to free internet in the cafe on the first floor, but they could do better here.

u have to pay for internet but its only 30 HK dollars, the will convert your money in the hotel but its not a great exchange rate. we had breakfast at the cafe and it wasnt very good - street food is much cheaper and tastier! i stay at a LOT of hotels in Las Vegas and other tourist destinations where my hotel rooms are large and very clean, therefore i cannot give this hotel 5 stars, however, for a Hong Kong or Chinese hotel at this rate this is a very good value - i would stay here again.

I thought overall that the Dorsett Kowloon was a good value for money. While the room and bathroom were small they were comfortable and clean. I did find the bed a bit short and my feet hung off the end. There is no chair for the desk so it is difficult to work unless you plan to do do so in bed. Location is fairly convenient to the Olympic Metro station and the Olympian 2 mall. If you plan to do most of your HK trip outside the hotel, this hotel should meet your needs admirably. Can't speak to the food, never ate at the restaurant.

Dorsett Kowloon is a decent place where u get lots of shopping, food, and its actually quite near MOngKOk Mtr, 10mins away>. ;) well... Hotel rooms are really small, the toilets too. but i like the bay window, i could sit there with coffee and the view is beautiful. yup.. i stayed at lvl14.. not bad. i love it, for my 4days stayed... it's cheap, service is good, locations is good.. yup.. and i would go back...~!!

The size of the room should be enlarged. because the space available to walk is kinda small. Variety of rooms should be provided. as there is only standard rooms available in the hotel. no larger room than standard room

Was ok, service was average. Stay here is you dont mind being 20 mins walk from the main shopping area.

There is a medium size shopping mall with a supermarket, plus many small eating places, nearby. The nearest Olympic MTR station is about 10 minutes walk away.

This hotel location is around 15min.walking distance to the busiest night markets in Mongkok,Yaumati,Nathan Road..which you will have varieties of tasty foods & night shopping.the hotel rate is worth that our money. No doubts the hotel bedroom & bathroom are small is within my expectation but is comfortable for 2 persons stay.I will like to recommend friends to stay in this hotel during their future visit to Kowloon,Hongkong because this is my 12th visit to Kowloon,Hongkong and will come back again.
