Continental Hotel Zara

Stayed for just one night at the hotel in January with my wife. Flew in from the UK and then used the airline (Wizz Air) shuttle bus service to drop off in central Budapest. Hotel was a short (10 min) walk away. Well located, only a few minutes from the underground which we later used. Desk staff very helpful. Room was small, but had all the amenities that you would want. Modern and comfortable. We used the pool & saunas on the top floor. Never quite made it to the gym... After a days exploring the city we were going to go out to a restaurant, but decided to use the one connected to the hotel. Although not cheap, the food was good and the service excellent. Very helpful staff helped us explore some local food and made very good recommendations with the wine. Would certainly recommend and use again if we every came back to Budapest.

The hotel was superb, friendly, with its spa and gym and pianist in the bar it was elegant and luxurious and great value, comfortable, clean, well placed for visiting the main sights in the city ...would definitely go there again and recommend friends.

Small rooms, yet comfortable. Showers are small by American standards. Breakfast buffet very nicely done. Staff is excellent. Hotel within easy walking to most sites, but we prefer walking to best experience the cities we are in. Will stay here again if we ever get back to Budapest.

I can only recommend this great hotel. My boyfriend and I had a lovely stay there in December 2012. Very good service, nice pool and fitness facilities and great location.

We decided to take a weekend getaway before Christmas and were delighted by all the wonderful amenities our hotel had to offer. The room was clean and perfect for a couple with a great heating system! Breakfast was included in our package and had a great variety of salads, pancakes, meat, eggs and drinks. We spent one night in the pool and sauna which was lovely and another enjoying the Christmas concert. The staff were very helpful during our stay and with ordering a taxi to the airport upon checkout. Overall great experience!

Every amenity required of a 4 star. Excellent staff. Room on the small side, would be difficult for a couple, ideal as a single.

Ideal hotel for couples or adults without chilrden . Quiet, elegant, luxury. Friendly staff, great service.Good location, away from noise but close enough to walk into the city centre or nearby metro.

The hotel itself is gorgeous and has free wifi everywhere, good business center and spa facilities which are complementary. However, be very careful of the services and trips offered by the front desk. we went on a supposed "tour of Budapest and dinner show" costing a total of 100£ which was basically a scam. A van came to take us to a mediocre restaurant with some music. The "guide" barely spoke and the restaurant was in the middle of nowhere. as long as you stay away from these lovely tourist experiences you should be fine. The rest of the hotel was great but I didn't expect a hotel of this caliber to offer such an obvious con as a tour, overpriced, yes but not a blatant con job. Other than this e hotel is very well situated. we bought the hop on hop off bus tickets at the hotel and had no issues. I would also recommend that any visitors buy parliament tickets at the hotel as there is no official ticket seller at the parliament and there are some very shady characters selling tickets outside of the parliament building that I wouldn't trust.

Our stay was excellent. The staff were always very helpful, friendly and professional. Breakfast each morning was very good and our room was always very clean and warm.
