Lovely hotel in a great location

We were really pleased with the Kempinski in Budapest. The lobby was elegant, the room and bathroom were modern and very comfortable, and the free WiFi was reliable throughout our entire stay. The location in Pest is fantastic, next to a park and lots of shops, restaurants, and bars. The major subway station is also right nearby. We would definitely stay there again!

Great Hotel, Location, Staff

The Kempinski Hotel was a great choice for our vacation. The location was ideal for seeing all the sites by foot. The concierge service was very helpful recommendations, reservations, and car transfers during the stay. The spa was perfect, especially after a long day of sightseeing. I will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and will hopefully be able to visit Budapest and the Kempinski sometime in the near future..

Good location, but very noisy due to renovations every day from 9 - 5.

Restaurants nearby the hotel are very expensive and the food wasn't good. Venture a bit further afield, especially towards the market - which in itself is a must to visit. The spa at the hotel was disappointing. We went by Big Bus to a hotel near the castle to experience the natural spas. Buy tickets from the buses and boats direct - it is cheaper.

Dining tip: Long walk from hotel

Avoid restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, they seem to cater for the embassies and are very expensive with mediocre to measly food. The local market was good for tasting all the different local Hungarian dishes, freshly prepared, unlike most restaurants who have pages of menus but rely on heating frozen food rather than cook from fresh.

Long weekend in Budapest

Never been before but just had a great 5 day weekend in Budapest. Upgraded to the Kempinski after a couple of days in another hotel further away from the river. That was a good move as the Kempinski is in a good location just a few minutes walk from the river and next door to the British Embassy - that has to be a good location right? Great atmosphere in the streets and parks around the hotel too. Struggling to find fault with the hotel, there were very few shows in English on the TV and the desk chair in our room had slightly hard edges - see not much to say. The bathrooms are terrific and the breakfasts superb. The staff were wonderful and anticipated all our questions even before we had thought of them. We got a good value package off the internet including free wi-fi and breakfast so for us it was good value too.

Unforgettable Time in Budapest

We had an unforgettable time in Budapest, thank, not in small part, to the fact that we stayed at The Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest. It's a relatively new hotel, with very attentive, sophisticated service, great amenities, and the best possible location for attractions on the Pest side. Don't miss the swimming pool with its unique view! You will love it, I guarantee!

Kempinski Budapest spring 2012

Excellent hotel conventiently situated for sightseeing and subway lines. Room and bathroom were large and well equipped. The only downside to the room was lack of free movie channel. Plenty of quality restaurants within walking distant. The hotel's spa and pool provide a great way to unwind at the end of a long day of walking.
