The hotel, which is none smoking only, is very conveinetly located down town Reykjvaik, and the Hallgrimskirkja tower is a good landmark for those who are new in town. Downstairs we have a convenience store that's open til late and more than enough of bars and restaurants all around the hotel. l hôtel est bien situé ,facile a retrouvé vu qu'il est prés d'une église que l on repére de loin.
Hors mis le fait que la voiture de l hôtel devait venir nous chercher à l aéroport mais qu'il nous a oublié , le linge de bain est changé chaque jour ,l appartement est propre , bien chauffé

The staff is friendly enough, the room is clean enough, the amenities are decent enough. But the best part of this hotel by far is its GREAT location. It's right by the Hallgrimskirkja (probably the most easily identifiable landmark in Reykjavik) so not only is the hotel in a central location... but you can easily wander back without really knowing your way around the city. Also, the rooms are very fairly priced.

The hotel rooms and staff were excellent, helpful and very friendly! They arranged tours, helped us find fun things to do and were very pleasant! The location is a little away from downtown-which is no problem during the summer, but we were there in Jan, so the walk into downtown was a WEE BIT brisk. However, we enjoyed the scenery and discovered a good grocery store nearby. The public pool is nearby too. The view of downtown and the glaciers gliding in were worth staying the the tower. Breakfast and hardy and the coffee was delicious. I did try the mysterious bottle of "fish oil stuff" on the buffet. I think it was cod-liver oil. Never again. We had a great time, Iceland is beautiful and the hotel was superb! THANKS

A modern comfortable hotel - but about 20 mins walk from the city centre. Askur's Brasserie (near the Hilton Hotel) was good for meals, especially on Sunday evenings. Hotel had a happy hour between 5.00 and 6.00 each evening which was just as well! Otherwise £5.00+ for a pint. Staff very helpful. Good breakfast - even at 04.30. Would stay here again.

Overall a good place to stay. Location is ideal for downtown access. A short walk to most sights and shopping. Staff was very accomcodating and friendly. Our overall experince was good.

Due to a mixup the Center Hotel Klopp had only reserved one room, so they moved us a few blocks to the Center Hotel Arnarhvoll which is across the street from the new Harpa Concert and Convention Center. It is only a couple blocks to the city center. We almost got a view of the bay. Try not to get a second floor room above parking lot. Cleaning ladies gathered to smoke and talk loudly outside our window about 6:00 a.m. Not a problem for our 4th floor room. Front Desk was polite and helpful, but did not go out of their way to help us find our delayed luggage.

A friend and I just got back from a weekend in Reykjavik. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel. The location is perfect. Steps away (literally steps) from great restaurants, bars, shops, cafes, etc... Excellent staff provided suggestions and assisted in booking tours and transportation to the airport. I will be back to Iceland for another weekend and I would definitely stay at this hotel.

Me and my Wife stayed at the Welcome Apartments in the Hekla Suite. We really enjoyed the location and the amenities it had. 2 Bedrooms, a kitchen, Living room and all the extras. It would have been nice to have cable TV, but it had a nice DVD player, Movies and good Wireless Internet. It was a close walk to everything downtown and we loved it.

This wonderful traditional hotel doesn't need to shout about its class and style. Just the opportunity to view the breathtaking collection of Icelandic art displayed throughout the property is surely worth the price of the room! Despite its grand reputation, the exterior of this hotel is surprisingly restrained with its dark grey facade and small unassuming entrance. This hotel is located in a quiet residential street right in the old centre of Reykjavik. This is also the main Embassy area.

Hotel staff was very friendly and very helpful, made any reservations for you and provided maps along with great directions. Rooms were small but very clean, good location to downtown, great views on the 8th floor, we will be staying there again our next visit.

I was in town on business. The Central Plaza Hotel was convenient to the place of business as well as being centrally located and within easy walking to all downtown shopping, dinning and sites of interest.
Staff were very helpful and pleasant and the breakfast was very good.

Salle de bain privative, mais dans le couloir. Chauffage plutôt moyen et 2 lits simples en guise de lit double.
Malgré tout, très agréable dans l'ensemble, et à deux pas du centre ville!

I booked this apartment as a 4star property - It really doesn't come close to this - it is a number of tiny apartments in a single converted house- there is no onsite staff member at all on the property at any time. My booking stated breakfast included but the booking card with the keys simply had that scrubbed out. The internet wasn't working and when it was fixed I wasn't advised. Overall it was convenient in position and the kitchen was quite good - but it was not otherwise as I had expected from the internet.

Good location a few things missing

The location is good. It's close enough to Reykjavik to walk to the city center but far enough away to feel less crowded. We only encountered a few problems. First, I was unable to check in early or even pay for a half day. Second, the dryer did not work the whole time we were there. Finally, Cheap Tickets did not make it clear to the staff that we had already paid our reservation.

After spending days in many glorified backpacker B&B's for $100-$150 a night, it was wonderful to find a hotel at a somewhat reasonable price, wonderful service and charming room decor.

Very convienent location. Room was clean. Computer in lobby to access e-mail. Internet access in room was advertised, but you had to pay for it. The breakfast was first rate. They opened up early for us the day we left. Staff was very pleasant. Iceland is very expensive, bring lots of money!

Friendly staff, efficient service, better-than-average breakfast, clean and relatively large rooms, perfect location in the business/shopping section of Reykjavik, but there it got pretty noisy on the street side at night with the partying on the street below...especially toward and over the weekend.

The hotel was great. It was in a great location close to downtown. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Why would you want to stay anywhere else when you are in the middle of everything.

For the price, we expected a bit more class and comfort in our room; however, the pool and hot tub were incredible and made it a worthwhile stay. We also enjoyed the walking path along the water next to the hotel. There was a terrific restaurant right by the path and we'd HIGHLY recommend it to anyone staying at hotel Natura. The hotel provided a complimentary shuttle into the city which was convenient (although it is a relatively quick and easy walk from the hotel ca. 20 minutes). The breakfast brunch was delicious and staff was friendly. Overall, a nice place to stay.

My wife and I stayed at the Icelandair Hotel Reykjavik Natura (new name with remodel) during our week long trip to Iceland. We stayed in one of the remodeled rooms. The room was small, but clean and comfortable. As other reviews mentioned, the hotel is at the city airport. We had no trouble sleeping and didn't notice a lot of aircraft noise while we stayed. Curtains were heavy enough to block out the sun which set at midnight and rose at 01:30. The front desk staff were very helpful in answering questions and booking tours. The hotel runs a shuttle downtown, or you can walk to the city center if the weather is nice. We were very pleased with our stay. For the price, the hotel was a great deal.

A very modern and comfort hotel located in the main street of Reykjavik! The staffs...superb! They also have a Mac placed in the hall for guests...and it's free! It may save your day when you need to check something in a urgent! Great atmosphere and clearness can be found in the room, the interior is very Icelandic styled. The breakfast included is higher than standard compared to others. Highly recommended!

・受付の方に色々なことをたくさん聞いてしまったが、嫌な顔一つせず親身になって調べてくれたり、アドバイスをしてくれたりした。
・宿泊料が安いので汚いホテルを覚悟していたが、新設なのかと思うほどきれいでとても良かった。
・朝食のビュッフェは、味は良かったけど種類が少なかったので、長い間泊まる場合は飽きてしまう可能性が高い。

The rooms where clean and the hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The location was great very close to downtown and a small walk to everything. The price was right.

Hotel located a bit east of the city centre. Dated but clean rooms. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is run-of-the-mill.

Great location only 5 minutes from shopping area of Reykjavik. Hotel offers great breakfasts - even when we had an early morning departure they gave us sandwiches and coffee before we left - a nice touch! All city sights are within easy walking distance. Recommend the Icelandic Fish and Chip Restaurant with their flaky cod and crispy potatoes cooked organically. Blue Lagoon is a must - but very overpriced. Golden Circle tour is excellent and gives great insight to the island, history, geology and culture - highly recommended.

Sehr günstig gelegenenes Hotel an der Autobabhn, am Besten mit Mietwagen. Konstantes Autobahngeräusch hörbar (hat uns in drei Nächten nicht gestört). Fahrt nach Reykjavik ca. 15 Minuten per Mietwagen, ansonsten guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge.
Saubere Zimmer, Frischluftzufuhr durch schaltbare Fensterspalte möglich (Fenster können nicht geöffnet werden, was auch nicht nötig ist). Zimmer geräumig und sauber inkl. TV. Besitzer sehr freundlich und hilfreich. Frühstück gut mit Brot, Kuchen, Cerealien, Käse, Wurst (einfach), Omelett, Joghurt usw. Für isländische Verhältnise sehr gut.

This is a nice hotel in a rather remote location for a city break. Although there is a bus service nearby and a large shopping mall even nearer there's nothing much else in the area and it's quite a bus ride to town. Even worse, the buses don't run on Sunday mornings. That aside there's nothing wrong with the hotel at the price I paid. The room was small but adequate, the breakfast was good and there's free internet access. Just move it nearer to town!

Location is Perfect for the young and active. Right on the main road for tourist bits. 2 minutes walk to the bay, 5 minutes walk to the boat tours.
Free parking is great, if you have to pay $2 / hr is not bad either, and the meters are only active 10a-6p weekdays, and 10a-2p weekends.
AC = Un necessary, window can be opened just fine. Heating is exceptional, lifts were clean and rooms cleaned daily, they didnt mind cleaning while worked on our computers and were in the room. Kitchen area is great, we cooked dinners to save money.
The bar "BOSTON" next door is a treat, owner's family will drink with you! Locals are exceptionally nice, and the staff didnt mind replacing my lost key for the 11th time on our 8th day there.

Amazing value for money. Staff in reception was extremely friendly and I was even talked in spanish by one of them, Tor. Helga was also so friendly. Breakfast area was being rebuilt but a good option was given in the restaurant next door. The breakfast selection was good having in mind the price paid. Room was very clean and the internet was completely free.
But the location was definitely the best thing, being right in the centre of the town with all the action happening at the hotel doorstep.
Second time using this hotel and no regrets whatsoever. 200% recommendable. Icelandic friendliness made the rest of our stay unforgetable.

This was a very nice hotel and we would stay there again. I was able to park easily and the staff was extremely friendly. The only negative is that it is a little far away from the center, but it's not a big city. The breakfast was the best!

The staff at Hotel Bjork was incredibly helpful and kind -- they booked excursions for us, arranged our shuttle to the airport, and were consistently helpful and polite.
The hotel is a about a 15 minute walk from the thick of downtown's activity, so if you aren't a big walker or want to be able to pop into the room between activities, you may opt for something closer. My sister and I both live in big walking cities, so we didn't mind. Also, some of the walk feels a little desloate, but the country feels (and is) very safe, so this was not a problem for us.
