Wonders of the World Family Traveler
Met our expectations!
Comfortable beds, friendly staff, tours and other services easily arrianged. The Taj Bano resturant should have included a few more "western food" dishes to choose from. Good view of the Taj Mahal fromthe hotel.

fantastic vacation
We were in Agra for one night. We basically ate and slept there. The food was great. My 5 yr old son enjoyed sleeping on the cusion like mattresses in front of the hotel window in our room. The pool was too cold to swim in in February but the pool and gardens were maintained beautifully.

We are American ex-pats living in Mumbai & this was our 1st trip to Agra. After a 6hr drive from Delhi to Agra, our suite was a wonderful way to relax & recoup from 2 days of traveling. There were nice little touches like goldfish swimming in the corner & rose petals spread around the room. The staff were helpful without being too overbearing & the grounds were beautiful. Rather expensive charges for wi-fi access. A great variety b/w the diff restaurants within the hotel, but walking distance to local options. We wanted a quick, light dinner that ended up taking almost 2 hrs, but the food was good. The wait-staff refused to let us take our leftovers back to the room with us & I would have liked to have been notified of that policy before ordering. It was frustrating (but comical) to be told that we couldn't take half of a club sandwich with us because "with eggs next to meats - it could be very dangerous! I'm sure you understand... anything could happen!"

When booking the hotel online we were offered an inexpensive upgrade to include in-room wi-fi and continental breakfast and I regret not getting it. The internet access alone was more than the online upgrade.

Good value, but certainly not a 5 star hotel
My wife and I were happy with our stay, but certainly didn't get 5-star service and amenities. Having stayed at numerous 5-star hotels in India, this one was certainly at the bottom. But given the price we paid, we cannot complain too much. It had a strong feel of 'package tour' hotel, but given it is part of a large U.K. travel group, that isn't a particular surprise.
