Not for solo travelers

First of all, I got a room with two twin beds instead of a double bed. So I paid like $140 for a twin bed. It would have been nice if [...] or the hotel or whoever made it clear which of the two options I would be getting. Don't be like me and assume the logical choice will be given to you. The room itself is nice but feels dated. I like the green marble floors, but the black mold growing on the blow dryer is an indication that the place is going stale. The Sheesh Mahal restaurant in the lobby is expensive but worth it. The chicken tikka masala was terrific. I'm glad they didn't ask me if I wanted it spicy or mild -- they just gave it spicy and it was best tasting dinner I had in India. The live music in the restaurant was not as good. I just don't think of accordions when I think of India. Finally, the Front Desk may have been the most frustrating part of my vacation. One would think that you could expect something basic like getting a taxi could be arranged. I asked him to call a taxi and he refused. I guess the staff here is used to outsourcing service like that to the travel agencies. I ended up taking an auto rickshaw to the train station.

Hotel has decent facilites, tea

Hotel has decent facilites, tea and coffee in the room, change of towels and bed made each day. Travel agent was good but the driver he booked for me no good. Did not use the pool while there, and Agra not easy for woman alone to go...ate next door at starbucks for dinner since long way to Indian food, did not want to eat in hotel. Even though it was good I wanted cheap and cheeful of India food. Bed was so far the only comfortable one in India, but investing in new mattress for all hotels would make the stay much better.
