I booked the tower but was surprised to find I was upgraded to the historic part...without even asking!
It is a beautiful true five-star hotel.
Even if it is a bit over your budget, I would recommend staying here.
You can have breakfast watching at the sun rise while looking at boats and the India Gate out the window.
It is a historic attraction itself...and you can't stay in the Taj Mahal in Agra, so stay in this one instead.

Efficient hotel with a hint of luxury

Stayed here for a few days. Staff were helpful and professional and definitely offered a personal service given the size of the hotel. The facilities and food are all excellent. If possible I'd recommend staying in a Taj club room as you get a few extra perks which are worthwhile.

Perfect in every way. Location,price,comfort and service was far superior compared to other leading 5 star hotels in the world let alone in India. Made a visit to the original Taj Mahal Palace in south Mumbai. No faults-but the Lands End just seem better value for money. Especially if you want to travel to all parts of Mumbai. Perfect central and quiet location.

I stayed in the Novotel during a business trip for more than a week. It is a very comfortable, modern hotel. The hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast buffet serves a big variety of international food so that it can be enjoyed by Indian and western travelers. There is a few restaurant choices in the hotel. The Italian restaurant has very good food including good wine choices and great pizza. My room was spacious with a modern restroom. I enjoyed the rainshower type shower cabin.

Hotel not as good as other competitive hotels in the area. Fabric of hotel and rooms are excellent but staff have a cold approach especially as a first time user of the Hotel. 24 hour restaurant service left a lot to be desired. Lunch time waited 20/25 minutes and no service.

Stayed at the Taj President 14/03/12- 17/03/12. Only 45 mins from Mumbai airport in daytime traffic by taxi. Good size rooms, very clean with fresh flowers, fruit and wine.. This hotel is in a great location, wthin walking distance (25 mins) from Gateway of india and Marine drive. Local taxi rank just outside of the hotel doors. All staff were friendly and helpful.

Excellent service and great facilities. Staff are fantastic and love the pool and spa wet areas. Very accommodating with late check-outs. Was able to upgrade my room only booking to Regency Club level for around USD 70 and this included breakfast, cocktails and snacks from 6-8pm, free WI-FI and teas coffeees throughout the day.

The hotel management provided complementry before dinner cocktails at theie Fredrick Lounge, few free laundry items and 1/2 hour Internet. The choices of breakfast dishes, fruits, coffees were incredible. Everything was perfectly prepared and presented with a flair. We found the staff very friendly and helpful.

Very close the the International Airport. New facility with amenities that you would expect at a more high end Marriott. A really great location and very nice - especially compared to what is normally observed at a Courtyard in the US (which is more of a basic business travelers hotel). I had a nice meal via room service that was promptly delivered the room was top quality. The service was 24 hours a day. The service was very efficient with quick check in and check out procedures. Internet was free if you are a member of the rewards program (which is free to join). Overall would recommend the hotel for anyone traveling in on business or needing o stay near the airport.

Overall our stay was great. The service and attention was excellent. The staff is very friendly and attentive at all times from the time you leave the hotel until the time you come back!
Location is good too. Many restaurants, shopping areas near hotel.
Hotel has one of the best clubs and many retaurants to choose from.

Hotel was lovely and service superb from the moment you walk in the door. My only negative would be the room size. They used mirrors to give the impression of spaciousness also bathroom sink area opens into room so when turning on light it floods into bed area.

A spectacular greeting, by a young lady Miss Preety... That's right, pronounced pretty. Treated like royalty, excellent room, safe, secure and on beautiful grounds. If you want a rest in a city like Mumbai, this is the place. Beautiful pool, nice restaurants and special treatment. None better!

The staff was great. The hotel very clean the staff in the restaurants were great. If I do ever go back to India which I hope I do I will stay here. The location is great you can just about walk to anything.

Very good as well as excelent Spa. The only difficulty experienced was the Hotel Car drivers had difficulty finding the office addresses and this is hard for foreigners who are visiting. Drivers were friendly but never found the destinations.
