Can I live here???
Absolutely amazing! The quality of service and ammenities are truly outstanding. I didn't want to leave the hotel at all to sightsee, it was that fantastic. Everyone who works at the Taj is very friendly and they make sure you're comfortable & taken care of at all times. I visited during monsoon season so it rained a lot but there's a great little restaurant near the pool that's completely sheltered so I still got to eat outdoors every night. The spa is also a must do if you stay here.

Top of the Line
I was at the Taj during the India-Pakistan cricket match. Security was extremely tight. But inside all was very well, from poolside relaxation to a tour of the beautiful renovations since the terror attack. Bravo!

Great stay at this icon in Mumbai.
Great stay at this icon in Mumbai. Staff all very helpful and friendly. For a ' weekend special' it would have been good to have breakfast included. Free parking available but high charge for internet. It is not obvious when booking how one can book in the ' Palace' wing. All bookings put you in the Tower wing. Housekeeping service was excellent.

Good Location, good service
Get car service to/from the airport, also used for a driving tour of Mumbai... Drivers were very knowledgeable and made us feel safe. When we arrived, we did not have to check in at the front desk, they already knew my name and took us right up to the room and wrote down our credit card number for incidentals. Nice service. Great breakfast buffet. Walking distance from the Gateway of India and the Elephanta caves' ferry. Close to many other South Mumbai attractions.

Stay here!!
I booked the tower but was surprised to find I was upgraded to the historic part...without even asking! It is a beautiful true five-star hotel. Even if it is a bit over your budget, I would recommend staying here. You can have breakfast watching at the sun rise while looking at boats and the India Gate out the window. It is a historic attraction itself...and you can't stay in the Taj Mahal in Agra, so stay in this one instead. Paul from Canada

Over the top at the Taj Palace
Stayed because we wanted to experience the Taj Palace. It was over the top good, though we don't really like all the servants and service. Be warned that the gateway to India area outside the Taj is full of the typical hawkers and "free" flower/bracelet givers. Hotel went above and beyond to help coordinate things for our trip.
