the hotel was rated as 4 star but 3 star would be more accurate. It is located right on the beach which is great but you need to catch a taxi to get to main shopping and dinning areas, although you could walk along the beach, but there is no path.
It is well priced and peace full, but not a lot of activities . It was very quiet when we visited and i can imagine the pool area would be very crowded if the hotel was full. The beach has a strong current and waves but there is one life guard on duty all day.

this is a great small to medium sized "resort". pool a bit on the small side, which would explain the lack of pool deckchairs. only 10 available for 40 or so rooms, and even less mattresses to go on them. restaurant food was okey for b/fast, did not use for other meals as perfered to find the cheap warungs for cheap eats.delux room was well appointed and on the large side. the bathroom was a bit dated but did the job.staff very friendly and attentive. location is a bit far away from the main part of sanur,20min walk or 6000rupee [cheap] taxi fare. over all not a bad hotel, just abit too far from the action.

Best place we have stayed at for a while. Was an issue with one of the lights and a shock from it but hopefully they will have fixed that. Otherwise, everything else was perfect and we will stay there again.

Stayed here for 3 nights end of January 2011. The hotel is very convenient to shops, bars and restaurants and also the airport. The hotel staff were all very obliging and service good so I would have no hesitation in recommending this place to future guests, although there are probably cheaper hotels to be found in Kuta. The hotel is also located in a quieter part of town, but still only a 10 minute walk to the 'action' discos etc.

海までは遠いのでここに泊まるとプールで泳ぐことになる。
長期滞在してバイクをレンタルするならば、設備はきれいで安いのでリーズナブルだと思う。しかし、夕食等で酒を飲んでしまうと帰りはタクシーになるが、メーター制で安いので心配はいらない。
ワイヤレスインターネットが部屋で繋がるが、容量が少ないため他の人が使うと繋がらない。友人がスカイプを使っていたら、その間はネットが全然動かなかった。
部屋はきれいだがシャワーのみ。朝食がついているが種類が少ない。

Don't let the price make you think it's not a good hotel. The reason this hotel it's much cheaper than most in this area is because it not directly on main road, but with only a few minutes walk from the main area, it's a great value. The rooms are good and the beds are comfortable. Some of the rooms are next to the main lobby with a DJ playing music, but the noise honestly wasn't that bad at all, and doesn't go all night.

its a simple basic budget hotel with nice swimming pool,clean but old with breakfast what more can u ask for the price. location is good, not too much of a crowd. 5-8 mins walking out to kuta beach and the shopping here i personally find it cheaper than in kuta. Its my second time staying here.

I was vacationing in Bali for the third time, and although the location was not ideal (ie. not close to the beach) the hotel staff was friendly and the room was comfortable. The only thing missing that would have made the experience better was the smell in the bathroom. Sometimes the sink and bathtub did not drain the water quickly and left a smell. Just ok.

Nice environment very clean, small hotel, all rooms look over pool area. Bathrooms a little small but met all needs. Limited sunny space & beds around the pool so if you like to spend a lot of time sunning probably not the place for you. Being a small hotel you soon meet all staff & they enjoy interacting with the guests. Will definately stay here again.

Great hotel if you are here for

Great hotel if you are here for a family holiday and you don't mind having a surf each morning before the kids get up. The hotel is right in front of all the reefs at Kuta Reef. Come off the boat and have a quick dip in the pool to rinse off before breakfast with the family.
Great pools for the kids.
The food and service (from the Balinese staff) is exceptional and there's no need to worry about treats for the kids as it has it's own 'Cold Rock' type ice cream shop too.
The Kids Club was a bit boring for both our boys (3 and 9 years old) not enough activities and excitment to keep them wanting to go back. Best option - hire a baby-sitter for a couple of hours day or night to get a break from them to do some shopping or visit a restaurant.
The Holiday Inn is out of the way from all of the hussle and bustle of main Kuta so you don't get hassled all the time.
I would highly reccommend the Holiday Inn Baruna Bali for any family looking for a chill-axing break!

The staff were friendly and their attention to detail was impressive. We chose to stay and enjoy the facilities, especially the stunning pools, during the day. Yoga lessons in an amazing setting were good. While breakfasts were fine the dinners were not so much value for money. Getting back after dinner in Ubud would have been easier with shuttle times extended. However taxis were cheap enough.
Our deluxe room was a good standard, the view brilliant, only negative was the sound of a pump or sprinkler during the night.

We loved our stay in Nusa Dua Beach Hotel. We felt the tourist office could have a lot more info on what to do in Bali though. We found all staff extremely friendly and helpful. The spacious grounds and hotel made our first holiday in Bali a memorable one and being right on the beach was perfect. Breakfast was delicious, service and environment we could not fault. Would not stay anywhere else. If you want the setting and a lovely hotel this is the place to stay. Plenty to do at this hotel if you didn't want to leave during your stay. Plenty of restaurants and activities. Free bus shuttle every hour to a large shopping complex only minutes away was excellent. A lounge room at the hotel for late departures with showers, TV and playroom etc was brilliant. Thank you to ALL the staff at Nusa Dua Beach Hotel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. As a hotel the set up is very good with day beds that look out over the ocean....complete relaxation. The bungalow style accomodation is surrounded by lovely gardens and pathways in a traditional Bali style.
We recommend it to all.

Very nice hotel, very family-friendly

We were arriving from another hotel in Ubud, where you have more tourists than locals... 4 days at the beach were going to relax us. The hotel is in a very nice and secure area, is very clean and visibly well maintained. Our family of four took a family suite, two rooms with a shared small living room. Not big, but big enough, and visibly recently renovated. The pools are big, beach is OK with white sand cleaned daily by the hotel employees. You can't swim far in the sea so the pool is for you if you want to exercise!
What was great is the family-friendliness of the hotel: first the family suite, then the kids club for 18 month-12 yo kids where visibly competent and friendly people take care of your kids while you sip a glass at the beach. There is a weekly program with one new activity every hour from tennis to wall climbing or painting, that will keep them busy and they even bring kids to lunch. Your kids also get at check-in a welcome bag with a special bottle they can refill at anytime with juice at the bar, for free. You are then sure they stay hydrated. They also propose the Kids pass where for $10/day kids can order any food from a children menu in all restaurants. And the most appreciated part is that that menu is not the usual chicken nuggets, pizza and pasta menu of most hotels. You find steaks, fish, steamed vegetables, soups, well, we never saw before such a healthy menu for kids in any hotel, congratulation to the chef and the management. You won't find organic food, definitely they are careful on the quality...
Breakfast buffet is definitely worth it, plenty of high-quality food of all kinds, freshly squeezed fruits, western, asian food and even a kids corner with cartoons, special buffet and babysitters so that parents can have a quiet meal. There is no buffet besides breakfast and special events, that's a regret. The hotel is treated against bugs and mosquitos with fumes, you just have a few seconds to rush to the beach when you hear the machines as they do it in plain afternoon without notification. Otherwise you end up in a cloud that is probably not very healty (and smells chimicals).
Employees are very helpful and friendly, and there are plenty of them available.
On the negative side, catering prices are like US prices, and you experience the double taxing trick with the currency rate. When prices are in US$, you need to add roughly 21% taxes on top, then the hotel charges the credit card in Indonedian Rupiahs using an exchange rate that's roughly 5% more than the one of the banks. So when you see a price in US$, you can add 25% to know the exact price you will pay.
Prices in Rupiah also have 21% tax on top, and as an example a basic orange juice at the pool cost $7. You then need to plan your budget appropriately.
There is good Internet service in the hotel, charged at $20 per day or free from the hotel lobby.
Overall that hotel is great for families and they take great attention to the quality of food, hygiena, hydratation of guests (plenty of water bottles, juices for kids) and the maintenance of the hotel, quality of the rooms. I definitely recommend it

Room was very nice with heavenly beds, bathtub leaked all over the floor the first day but they moved us to a different room, nice restaurants and bars...also good shops. Beautiful location on the beach with cabanas.

The resort is actually in Legian

The resort is actually in Legian which is a 10 minute (AUD$3) taxi ride from Kuta. Great location amongst the larger hotels ie Jayakarta and Kumala Pantai with Bali Niksoma next door. The Ramada has a building at the front of the hotel called the Tao beach club which really made this place! If you didn't want to sit around the more enclosed pool in the centre of the hotel you could escape to the front pool with great food and cocktails and very friendly and helpful staff.Excellent view of the beach and surfers from this spot. Try the Pad Thai at Tao.
One recommendation: don't get mani pedis from the girls on the beach - they are awful, you are better going to Melasti Hotel for their very reasonably priced packages and air conditioning!!

Ayant séjourné durant le soft opening du mois de septembre, mon avis et que dans le futur, quand le pesonnel sera formé et que les infrastrucutures seront terminées se sera un bon hôtel, malgré ma déception durant ce soft opening.
Le prix de base et somme tout trop élevé.
Un conseil pour la qualité du service, un bon service est un sevice discret.
Les chambres sont bien disposées, propres et confortables, l'hôtel est bien disposé.

非常美的酒店，环境绝对优美，房间外就是大大的游泳池，设施齐全，服务周到，总之，非常棒的酒店，喜欢极了。2分钟的距离到Nusa Dua海滩，喜欢水上运动或者潜水的游客，住在这里很方便。上午的Benoa，是水上运动和潜水者的乐园。下午可以在游泳池的里泡着，不过要早早的占据一个有阴凉的凉亭。一般早上就有老外把所有家什都搬过来占窝，到晚上才离开。以后再去，一定还住的酒店。

Excellent resort in a quiet location (but not too far to Kuta - the hotel runs a daily shuttle). Not as artificial as the Nusa Dua hotels, the ramada has decently priced room service, a good restaurant (Tao), and two very nice pools. Rooms are fairly typical at this star level. The gardens are very beautiful and a real highlight of staying here.

just returned on 19th Aug 2011 beautiful hotel, lovely and clean staff were friendly and efficient. Rooms were spacious with near new bathrooms. The pool is small but there was plenty of room as not everybody is around the pool at the same time. We had read only OK reviews for this hotel but we have been to Bali several times and would definitely stay here next time can't wait to go back !!!!!!!! great location on beach front between poppies 1 & 2

Staff are super friendly like most Balianese people. Very happy to help out with any enquiries. Though i might question the 'resort' aspect. It just seemed like a hotel decked out with greenery, a beautiful hotel nevertheless. Fantastic location. A big shoutout to the MBA tour guys 2 shop fronts down which were super helpful with organising our tours.

Great hotel

Just got back from Bali, and stayed at the Legion 101. Great hotel, nice and clean and friendly staff and no bug problems. That is was matters the most to me. The only bad things were the smell of the sewer, came through the toilet and we had to keep our bathroom door closed. The other issue was the cost of food and the spa were way too expensive compared to all others in the area. We did not use either. We would definitely be back to this hotel.
