Excellent service, my flight arrived very early and they did their best to have me in a room (only recently vacated) by about 8.30am. All done with a big smile. An excellent hotel.

Description
Grand Istana Rama has 150 rooms and suites set in 1.7 hectares of lush tropical gardens. All rooms and exterior spaces reflect the charm and fascination of Bali. Superior room offers spacious room at second storey and three storey rooms with Indonesian style and ambiance. Fully air-conditioned have a private bathroom with shower and are equipped with satellite television, IDD phone, mini-bar, tea and coffee maker and a daily supply of twin bottles of mineral water. All Superior room are 30 meter square with balcony overlooking to the gardens.
The hotel follows no smoking policy.
Note: We will have swimming pool renovation and surrounding area from March 18, 2011 until end of March 2011. Thus we will close the pool and surrounding area, this will also cause changes to the route from guest room to Samudra Restaurant.

Good location able to walk to most good restaurants as traffic very bad around Kuta at the moment due to road works. Staff very polite and helpful. Overall good value for money

Only stayed 1 night but it was not my first stay here. It is an ideal location for those who are first time visitors to Bali and Kuta. Right on the beach but far enough back that you cant hear the traffic. A great pool area next to the hotels resto accross the road from the beach where you can watch the sunset. Food is good quality and reasonable price. Room facilities are basic but comfortable. I would recommend and stay again.

Service was EXCELLENT!! All the staff members were very friendly, always smiling and very willing to help with anything.
The room was very spatious and clean. Everyone tries very hard to accommodate all your needs. Very modern and clean hotel, excellent reception area with bar, swimming pool and restaurant. The buffet breakfast slightly lacked variety. The hotel was abit far from most amenities such as the shopping mall and restaurants. Only way was to get a taxi going pass outside the hotel. But the staff members from the hotel willingly comes to help to catch a cab! Very lovely and friendly.

This hotel provides excellent services! Very friendly and attentive staff and they will assist you on almost anything you need! My husband and I had such a wonderful time there.
They need to improve on their menu though as they only have limited choices of selection for lunch and dinner.

Service from the front desk was superb.
Apparently, there was a problem with their server and we couldn't get a room upon arrival. But the front desk staff immediately approached us to explain the problem and relocated us to a different hotel for the first night. The matter was handled with the utmost professionalism and efficiency. Thumbs up on that part.
The food and beverage outlets on the other hand leaves much to be desired. Only one word to describe the food - BAD.
Other than that, we had a nice stay.

The location is great in the center of Kuta. It's not Hard Rock (right next door), but you can stay here for cheaper, still get a good room with good service, and just take a 30 second walk to the same places everyone else in the expensive hotels are going. Nightlife, the beach, shopping....what more do you take a vacation for???

Great Service - enjoyable stay

A couple of the less expensive rooms with the "jacuzzi pool" are next to the road, and adjacent to the service area - and as a result are a tad noisy. (you can occasionally hear the service ppl walking in and out - and when the rare truck drives by you feel it). We asked to move the first night - and received a free upgrade to a villa with a full pool further from the road a little deeper into the small property - which was great and eliminated all problems.
The massage at the spa was ok - nothing fancy - but a good price - also they will come to the villa if you ask. The front desk was excellent for the most part - and accommodate all your requests and caprices. Free wireless etc.
Overall we would definitely come back.
