Best Western Premier Academy Plaza Hotel sits just off O'Connell Street, at the very heart of Dublin. The hotel is within walking distance of Trinity College, the city's cultural quarter, Temple Bar, the Guinness brewery and other major attractions. O'Connell Lass
Unbeatable location for the price
The hotel staff was unbelievably friendly and helpful. They answered all of our questions with ease and knowledge. Just an example of how wonderful they were...it was raining quite hard as we were leaving for home. My niece could not find her umbrella and one of the staff members at the front desk tracked down an umbrella for her knowing she wouldn't be able to return it. Talk about service!!

Great location!
Location just off O'Connell St. and a short walk from Airlink Bus to airport made this hotel a winner. Great staff, very helpful. Liked the free computer acccess. With the impending ash problems it was important to be able to check the airport status freqently. I found everything in the city center easy to reach by walking from this location. Hotel had a pub that served good food at a decent price so didn't have to go searching for food if too tired from a big day.

Short walk from hotel
Be sure to go to the open air market off Henry St. on Saturday morning. Lots of flowers, fruits, and vegs. Then walk to the Temple Bar live food market in the afternoon and enjoy wonderful outdoor eating at food stands that include fresh cheeses, breads, and grilled meats. Yum!

clean and comfortable
The academy plaza is very central. Standard rooms are small but very clean. Beds very comfortable. Didnt eat there but did buy a very pricey round of drinks in the bar (probably the same price as any hotel in Dublin).Lively bar next door but this did not disturb us at all. Would stay there again.

the hotel was very nice, very clean, good room, it was a bit noisy since we were there during the World Cup and there is a bar next door that was showing the games outside!! The hotel breakfast was good, tour bus picked up across the street, hotel is 500 feet from main street where there is plenty to do!

pick up a dublin pass online- pick up at airport, saves you a lot of money at attraction sites, buy a hop on hop off bus tour- drives you to all the great location and picks you up at your leisure, they run all day. Buy a train pass to take side trips to other towns you may want to see!

stayed in 15 hotels, this was the best
the hotel was great. it's near shopping and temple bar (which is a huge tourist attraction) and its a reasonable walk to everywhere else. the rooms were bigger than any hotel i stayed in all summer. i visited 15 cities and this hotel was the best hotel i stayed in (mind you, i did not stay in hostels/shacks..3-4 stars or up) it was just great. staff was helpful, easy to use everything...just altogether pleasant. i would definitely recommend it.

Central location and value for money
Does what is says on the tin. No bells and whistles but a clean room, relatively smooth check in and out, good price and location make this a good place to stay on Business or for short leisure trips.

Good Stay
This hotel is very clean and we found the rooms to be comfortable and quiet. The location is very convenient with restaurants, pubs, shopping and sights nearby. We particularly appreciated the 2 free internet terminals in the lobby to help us book other stays and check emails. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
