Pretty location

Aesthetically appealing with pricey amenities. 5 euro internet was worthless and didn't want to pay 15 euro for better internet so I went to the lobby for free internet regularly. We were on the first floor right above a conference room on the weekend, which meant loud music and DJing every night until well after midnight. It is a ~15 min walk away from Grafton & Temple Bar but a pretty walk through St. Stephens Green, with plenty of shopping and eating nearby that is less touristy. Right next to the Luas light rail, which we could also hear but it wasn't too loud.

uninspiring

wont make the mistake of staying in a Hilton again when traveling abroad. 2nd time, and i found the experience to sub par on both occaisions. staff was great, which was pretty much parallel to the entire experience of Dublin. great city with incredible people. the hotel, on the other hand, disappointing. food in restaurant was marginal and overpriced. bed was uncomfortable, bathroom sink drained poorly. shower water pressure bad. tv channel offerings were dreadful and with poor reception. didnt spend much time in the room, but still the experience was not worthy of anything better than 2 stars out of 5. when we return to Dublin, will stay in a place the far better captures the local allure of Ireland, and may avoid HIlton's domestically from this point forward as well. unimpressive.

Comfortable,clean and welcoming

We spent two nights in this hotel... the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable... good pillows and soft towels. The breakfast buffet provided a wide choice. The hotel was located conveniently to access the town centre and attractions... but was in a peaceful area.

excellent place to stay

If you want to avoid the "down town" feeling, but have easy access to it, this is a very good place. It is a short tram ride to one of the city centers for shoping and sights. The tram is just a few steps across the road from the front of Hotel. With a very hopping pub about a block away on the water. The pub does not affect the hotel in any way. Very nice selection

New Year celebrations

A very nice hotel. Reception staff were a little cool towards us on arrival and departure. The rest of the hotel personnel in the bar and around the hotel were very helpful and friendly. They went out of their way sometimes to help. Room was very comfortable and clean. We did have some food in the bar and one breakfast and all were very tasty. The food was also very well presented.

pay for everything

The brochure describes wi- fi internet available in all rooms, wired and wireless. The hotel even provides a cat-5 cable for connection. If you want to pay 20 Euros a day you can be connected. The restaurant and bar/lounge are equally pretentious and pricey. Breakfast is 14 euros, dinner starts around 21 euros for a complete meal. The hotel is adjacent to a tram station but the two lines of the tram do not connect. Buses are abundant. There are no refrigerators. Nothing is really complementary. This hotel is geared toward business people and caters to flight crews from Dublin airport. Unless your employer is paying, it is not affordable. No concierge on duty as they contend. We did not book any tours or transportation at the hotel for fear of mercurial charges. Fortunately we walk all the time so the location had no restrictions for us. Eventually we found all the amenities that we needed in the neighborhood.

Very good standard hotel - but no spectacular

Stayed 1 night on business - great value, booked during a recent Hilton Sale. Hotel is not that central, but is in an interesting part of Dublin - plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. The nearby Ranelagh road had a very different feel to the Dublin I had seen before - more of a village. I would recommend visiting for this reason. Very comfortable and clean room, excellent breakfast selection. The gym was basic. Having to pay an extortionate price for wifi was a definite negative point.

Nice, but expensive

This is a great, modern hotel, and I really enjoyed my stay, but you will pay for it! Internet and other amenities felt very overpriced for Dublin. The breakfast was great, but I found the lunch and dinner menu to be a little lackluster, especially for the cost. Aside from the prices, the only other thing I would mention is that it is fairly well away from the main areas. This could be a bonus or a drawback depending on your style. It's in a quiet, empty development area without a lot going on there. To get anywhere at all, you have to make about a 3/4 mile walk. The walk is easy and safe, but it's still a good walk, and it might make you feel disconnected from the hustle-and-bustle of the city, if that's what you are looking for. TIP: Don't bother with the LUAS tram, unless you are planning on using the Red line, or REALLY don't like walking (or really don't care about spending the money I suppose.) Yes, it takes you right to St. Stephen's Green but if you have good legs or need the exercise the walk is no big deal. I suppose if it had rained while I was there I may have thought differently about it. :) Even though I don't have any particular complaints, I don't think I would stay there again. I would want something closer to the city center, and a bit less expensive.

Exemplary service and professionalism

We had to leave the hotel at 6 a.m., to catch a plane and since breakfast was not served until 8, they had in the lobby two full trays of coffe, buns rolls croisssants, all still warm from the oven--no chaarge--can't ask for better than that.
