New Year celebrations
A very nice hotel. Reception staff were a little cool towards us on arrival and departure. The rest of the hotel personnel in the bar and around the hotel were very helpful and friendly. They went out of their way sometimes to help. Room was very comfortable and clean. We did have some food in the bar and one breakfast and all were very tasty. The food was also very well presented.

pay for everything
The brochure describes wi- fi internet available in all rooms, wired and wireless. The hotel even provides a cat-5 cable for connection. If you want to pay 20 Euros a day you can be connected. The restaurant and bar/lounge are equally pretentious and pricey. Breakfast is 14 euros, dinner starts around 21 euros for a complete meal. The hotel is adjacent to a tram station but the two lines of the tram do not connect. Buses are abundant. There are no refrigerators. Nothing is really complementary. This hotel is geared toward business people and caters to flight crews from Dublin airport. Unless your employer is paying, it is not affordable. No concierge on duty as they contend. We did not book any tours or transportation at the hotel for fear of mercurial charges. Fortunately we walk all the time so the location had no restrictions for us. Eventually we found all the amenities that we needed in the neighborhood.

Very good standard hotel - but no spectacular
Stayed 1 night on business - great value, booked during a recent Hilton Sale. Hotel is not that central, but is in an interesting part of Dublin - plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. The nearby Ranelagh road had a very different feel to the Dublin I had seen before - more of a village. I would recommend visiting for this reason. Very comfortable and clean room, excellent breakfast selection. The gym was basic. Having to pay an extortionate price for wifi was a definite negative point.

Nice, but expensive
This is a great, modern hotel, and I really enjoyed my stay, but you will pay for it! Internet and other amenities felt very overpriced for Dublin. The breakfast was great, but I found the lunch and dinner menu to be a little lackluster, especially for the cost. Aside from the prices, the only other thing I would mention is that it is fairly well away from the main areas. This could be a bonus or a drawback depending on your style. It's in a quiet, empty development area without a lot going on there. To get anywhere at all, you have to make about a 3/4 mile walk. The walk is easy and safe, but it's still a good walk, and it might make you feel disconnected from the hustle-and-bustle of the city, if that's what you are looking for. TIP: Don't bother with the LUAS tram, unless you are planning on using the Red line, or REALLY don't like walking (or really don't care about spending the money I suppose.) Yes, it takes you right to St. Stephen's Green but if you have good legs or need the exercise the walk is no big deal. I suppose if it had rained while I was there I may have thought differently about it. :) Even though I don't have any particular complaints, I don't think I would stay there again. I would want something closer to the city center, and a bit less expensive.

My husband emailed the hotel to
My husband emailed the hotel to tell them that it was my birthday which I was celebrating with my sister and they very kindly sent a bottle of wine and nibbles to our room which was really lovely. You just don't seem to get that personal touch from hotels these days. The room was so quiet also that you wouldn't even know you were in a busy city. Well done Hilton Charlemont.

Got great rate including breakfast
Got great rate including breakfast and breakfast time was until midday instead of the usual 10am -10:30 which allowed us to sleep in. Clean, good service and good location if your planning on being south of the river (grafton st, st stephens green). would def go back.

Exemplary service and professionalism
We had to leave the hotel at 6 a.m., to catch a plane and since breakfast was not served until 8, they had in the lobby two full trays of coffe, buns rolls croisssants, all still warm from the oven--no chaarge--can't ask for better than that.
