Dublin's a pretty busy city, so for those of you that want to be just a peep away from the craziness, check out the Tara Towers Hotel. It is a only a few kilometres out from the capital - just enough to be able to enjoy some peace. A great coastal location, surrounded by Dublin and some of the smaller towns and villages in the region, the Tara Towers Hotel is a base that can cover any holiday-goer's needs, whether you're after a busy, cosmopolitan trip or more quaint retreat. With it being so close to the seafront, the Tara Towers Hotel has some utterly stunning vistas of the water, which is especially good for guests who like waking up to glittering sea views.
Rooms
Staying true to its coastal feel, the Tara Towers Hotel has kept its personality in the room design.  Guestrooms are simple but effective and have a warm ambiance, thanks to the rich textures combined with the fresh white of the bed linen. Rooms can also come with the most spectacular views of the coast, adding to the already calming atmosphere. The hotel has standard (double, twin and triple) guestrooms and more spacious executive rooms, all of which come with crisp linen, a television, large bathroom (complete with fluffy white towels!) and DSL Internet access.
Highlights
  • Close proximity to Dublin, but just enough out of the way from the hustle and bustle
  • Stunning views of the sea
  • Easy access to DART rail network for getting around
Nearby attractions
With the hotel being so close to Dublin, great sights and activities aren't far away! For the more famous places to go, like Dublin Port, the National Print Museum and Grand Canal, visitors can hop on a DART train, which is easily accessible from the hotel. For a sporting event, usually rugby or football, both the Aviva Stadium and RDS Arena are just a couple of kilometres from Tara Towers. If contemporary art is your thing, the world-famous Millrace Gallery is just about within walking distance from this exquisite hotel!

Value for money

With the Tara Towers you get what you pay for. It is a value for money, no frills hotel in Dublin 4. The Staff are friendly and the rooms are comfortable and clean. The room was very hot so I had to open the window and the noise from the busy road outside was a bit disturbing. Overall it suited my need perfectly. I will definitely stay there again

my business trip

Although I could have stayed at a City Centre hotel, my business meeting venue didn't require that. The reception staff were extremely helpful and dealt with any query I had proficiently. The restaurant staff in my opinion were just ok, as I dined twice at the hotel and not one of the staff asked me, during my meal, whether I was enjoying it..........Perhaps that is down to training, but I felt it very unusual not to be asked. I have to travel a lot on business and stay in hotels......yes I would stay again at Tara Towers.

Very Poor

Curtains in bedroom disintegrated when pulled. Area behind bathroom taps underneath shower were filthy, shower curtain was dirty and hairdryer did not work. Bed was clean and room was comfortable and the location was great but I would not recommend it or stay there again

Within easy reach of Dublin centre

A brilliant room overlooking Dublin bay with Howth on the horizon. The hotel and room were well maintained and kept clean throughout, had excellent staff and lovely food, particularly the open breakfasts. Although being 4 mile from Dublin there is an excellent train service just a few minutes walk from the hotel, costing just under €5 return per adult and taking less than 15 minutes to Tara Street Station in central Dublin, just 6 stops away. The Aircoach from Dublin Airport stops right outside the hotel and cost only €16 each return. Locally there is the beach and a large park just down the road.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Cheapest way into Dublin is to use the local tarin service.
