went there to have nice weekend with my boyfriend. wen we got to the room it was really old and as we thought its on the sea side we gonna have a sea view but wen we looked out of the window it was grave yard just outside the window.Room smelled to bad of chlorine that i felt that i m staying in a hospital room not in a hotel. Smell of chlorine was so strong in the sheets and pillows i could not sleep all night wen got home my hair and my clothes still smelled chlorine.

"Excuse me Sir" the room would say, ....
Frankly this was only a place to sleep. I would never in a million years being my wife there. Despite the picture, this is an old hotel, plus 30-years. It is definitely in the 'Limited Service' category, despite the fact that it has a restaurant, meeting rooms and a bar. (This is based on the size and the fittings in the rooms - which after-all is that you are renting.) The rooms were small as were the bathrooms, the towels were thin and few between, etc. It was designed in a different era, and given the size (of the rooms) there is little, in my professional opinion, that can now be done. Hints of its age were such things as the bathroom sink was set in a marble slab - completely out of character for today. The beds, well let's just say my 12-year old has a bigger single than what was in this room. Now I don't mind paying for internet access, but when the accommodation is on the [*] side of the equation, I think it should be free!In a medium rise building the lack of sprinklers is always an issue. Retrofitting would be very difficult, but as a traveler I always want to come home. It was the smell of smoking in the corridors that got me. It wafted under the door and I swear one day there was someone smoking in my bathroom! I believe it was a leaky vent that went along with the very noisy bathroom fan! So it this room could really talk you just might overhear.... "Excuse me Sir" the room would say, "Could I have a new bed." Howls of deep laughter would follow, "Right" [...] would say, "In our next design."So as I started, it was just a place to sleep outside the city center in a residential area close to Booterstown and Blackrock.

Good Location, not much else
when we arrived, we were not greeted, no information as to where our room was or anything else. [...] the room was clean and quiet..tv and tea making facilities. nice little pub beside hotel where we had a meal which was nice. stayed one night. when we checked out, the girl at the desk barely acknowledged us or said goodbye..

Even though i found the room clean
Even though i found the room clean and tidy i was unimpressed with such second class furniture for an executive room. The chest of drawers had a number of handles missing, the TV cabinet had 1 door broken off,the small round glass-topped table beside the room window wobbled, due to the feet not being very level on the carpet, and the mixer taps in the bathroom were not fixed in position very well as they could be moved from side to side. A cooked breakfast was available in the resturant, also bread rolls, cereals, orange juice, tea, coffee and toast for those who don't eat a cooked breakfast, such as myself. However the eating area was a shambles and had to be seen to be believed. It was like a teaspoon cafe, which was very untidy.Tables with no tablecloths, milk jugs not refilled fast enough and not all the necessary cultery available.I had to take the milk jug from the table behind me to put some in my tea and a knife from the empty seat beside me to butter my toast.I expected better.

Would stay here again
Good value for the price for a middle of the road hotel. Decent location in South Dublin with a bus stop right in front. Hotel staff was great! I had lots of questions and they had lots of answers. They helped plan outings and gave lots of helpful tips on tours etc.. They also arranged taxi's when needed, and let us check in before check-in time as our flight arrived early. There's also a pub/restaurant in the hotel with good breakfasts. Also, there's free parking. We kept our rental parked most of the time as the public transportation was easy to use. No complaints.

Nightlife tip:
Short drive from hotel
Do not even attempt to drive and park in the city center. Crazy traffic, especially if you're not used to driving on the other side of the road. Plus, parking is VERY limited downtown.Taxi from hotel to the city center is apprx 15 euros one way. Bus is approx 2 euro and is easy to use.

Lack of data transfer
When one uses your reservation service, you ask for Name, address, Email, tel number, credit card etc Yet, when one goes to the hotel, most of the data is missing. In my recent booking, all they had was my name, arrival date, and the fact that it was booked. So, they went to great lengths, to get me to complete all the paper work again. Can you please transfer everything to the hotel ? This is not the first time it has happened. If you want to prove me wrong, book a reservation yourself, and tuen up at the hotel and see what happens.
