I had a few difficulties with

I had a few difficulties with my stay; 1. The room was meant to be wi-fi accessible but i had to sit in the corridor 30yards from my room to get a signal. 2. The attitude of some of the staff was very poor, while others was very good and helpful...very inconsistent 3. €10 per night for parking...i know they say it on th e website but it is a bit of a ripoff. you should be able to pre-pay at a lower rate at the very least!

An old hotel with some upgrades.

We picked this hotel not knowing anyting about it except that it was an old building in a good location for what we wanted. The rooms were clean but the windows were in need of repair or replacing. The service to the rooms and responds to our needs was very prompt and done with curtesy. I do not see taking children there, there is nothing for them.

budget room

I stayed in a budget room it was fine for €49 considering what most hotels in Dublin charge. The decor and furniture was old and could certainly do with an upgrade. The food was not great either and it does get quite busy in the evening, I waited 50mins for dinner to be served in the bar? On the plus side the pool is lovely and the bus service is excellent!

Close to Airport & City Center

Room was very outdated, but extremely inexpensive considering other options. Pool, hot tub & gym are great pluses. Is a 10 min drive to the airport or the city center, less than 15 euros depending on where you're going. Wifi worked pretty well in the rooms. Parking is 6 euros per day.

Great fitness Center

Rooms are basic, wifi worked well in our room (3rd floor back corner). But the pool, sauna & jacuzzi were the highlights!

Updating required

The room , and specially the bathroom needs to be updated, there were humidity signs on the bathroom ceiling. I have been in lower budget hotels with more modern and better maintained rooms. Customer service was good.

My review of The Regency Hotel

I was looking for an airport hotel for one night. this hotel is halfway between the airport and downtown. the description you have says airport shuttle - well there is no shuttle from the airport and it cost 5 euros for the shuttle to the airport which only operates in the AM. they tried to slap lipstick on a pig.

great airport hotel

This hotel is a great airport hotel. It was perfect for our one night stay before flying out again. It also wasn't hard to take a quick bus ride downtown to O'Connell street. The service was great, and the staff awesome. The best part was probably the full Irish breakfast in the morning. The aren't many shops, stores, or supermarkets within walking distance, and the restaurants there are a bit expensive. But all in all, it was great for what we needed... restful, quiet, clean, and nice. We didn't use the pool or fitness area; a swimming cap is necessary in the pool and if you don't have one you have to purchase it.
