The atmosphere was pleasant and the food was great. Incredible views of the countryside. The only negative was the limited seating for dinner and early closing time for the kitchen.

This hotel is far from 4 star. The room wasn't very clean, the bar was more like a restaurant and didn't smell the best. As for the room, the floor boards were very squeaky and felt like you could fall through them. The en-suite had cracked tiles in the floor, the blinds in the room were torn and when closed they didn't cover the entire window, so at night everyone could see into your room from the bar and carpark. As for the facilities, there is none, you have to walk down to the sister hotel to use the pool and leisure center.. this hotel was much nicer all round. So if your planning on going to Kinsale for a visit avoid the Trident....

The location was fine, however the hotel itself is very dated, the room we stayed in was upgraded to a 'superior' room. First off the floor was really creaky, the blinds were torn and didn't cover the entire window. This was a problem as there was no curtains on the window and at night everyone from the car park or bar could see into your window. Also the room wasn't very clean, from stains on the floor for tattered brochures left on the table. Then there was the leisure center, this was a 5 min walk away in another hotel, which was nice. But id recommend booking into this hotel instead of the Trident. The staff were friendly and the view was good, but this hotel is no where near a 4 star. Avoid if you like your comfort....

Excellent location - ask for a room at the front of the hotel. Car parking available on site which is a real bonus in Kinsale. Very good breakfast with a range of freshly cooked options available. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Overall a most pleasant stay. Would certainly stay at Actons again and would happily recommend it to others
