comfortable stay
As my trip to Ireland was for my husband's funeral all I wanted was an uneventful stay. My room was on the top floor at the back of the hotel. There were stains on the floor and the chair but it was obvious they were old. The bathroom was clean. The wardrobe was adequate for a single person staying for 3 days but a couple would have had difficulties. The staff were very friendly and breakfast wellcooked with an adequate variety of products.

Best Western Limerick
Hotel room is basic enough but clean. We got a special deal of roughly €53 for the room and it was worth the money. The hotel is centrally located, have an iron in the room and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We asked in the bar if they served dinner and we were told that dinner starts at 6pm (this was 5.30pm) but that they would have a word with the chef if he'd agreed they take our order. We said we'd wait like everyone else but this is the type of service you get there.

Short walk from hotel
Le Chocolat on O'Connell st is a superb restaurant which is not expensive but has fantastic food. It's literally just a 5min stroll from the Best Western.

Convenient to Train Station
Located close to the main train station and a short walk to the main shopping street, this was a good value. Could hear the upstairs guest walking around a lot with squeaking floors, but overall the room was quiet. Good wi-fi speed and very friendly staff helped the otherwise plain room.

The hotel is very central, in the middle of the city, close to the restaurants, bars, shops. The rooms are small but has all the amenities you need...

Friendly Staff, Outdated Building
Very friendly staff (as they claim), they appeared to have a nice restaurant (didn't have time to go in), but the rooms/hallways were lacking. When you have to walk all the way around the building on your floor, and have to open about 10 (no exaggeration) firedoors, while carrying luggage, it's a sign that the building needs upgrading. The rooms were quaint and decent. The bathrooms were fairly nice. Good location (few blocks walk) to the bus and train station. I'd give it 3.5 stars.

Our room was nice and large with
Our room was nice and large with a nice bathroom but the other room that I booked for our friends was tiny and was a smoking room and really smelt dreadful. The reception staff were not interested at all with the problem. Parking was in a dingy car park around the corner which was not very convenient with luggage. The hotel seems quite large and you have to wander through lots of corridors with heavy fire doors. Breakfast was OK but I wouldn't stay there again.
