Location next to the ferrovia was helpful. Great (!) gelatto stand on the corner. Room was clean and comfortable. The large garden courtyard was a nice surprise--great for getting away from the busy front street.

The hotel is in a perfect location for anyone using a rental car. There is ample parking and the walk into the city center is only about 30 minutes.

We were there for a little break, to see the city etc.
Nice hotel, good room, breakfast fine, restaurant also very good.
We liked the bikes which we could use from the hotel, because its about 15 minutes walking to the centre and now we could see everything, going by bike.

I found my stay at the hotel to be a very pleasant experience. The staff were very kind and helpful with travel advice and providing information on upcoming venues in the city. Overall I would say that there was nothing missing in my experience.

Two things I found fault with one there was no information pack in the room to tell you about the hotel and it's facilities also what tourist attractions where nearby,the second thing was the breakfast buffet was a bit chaotic there should be a staff member to meet and greet you and show you to your table,apart from these minor things everything else was great.

I stayed 2 nights at this hotel prior to a meeting in Parma. I spent one night at at hotel in Fieri that is supposed to be near the airport (BLQ). The Carlton and nearby area is far superior. You pay more, but you'll get some back on the cab fare. The breakfast is great, elsewhere is not so good.
NOTE: If your wife is along, you may pay more due to shopping.

Perfect location, steps from the Piazza Maggiore. Friendly and helpful staff. The first room we were assigned had a faulty AC, with a loud rasping noise, but they switched us to another room. When I called before our stay to ask if the airport bus stopped near the hotel, I was erroneously informed that the bus goes only to the train station. In fact, it does stop a three-minute walk from the hotel.

The hotel was a short walk from the train station, and convenient to sight seeing areas. I paid less than $100 per night and was surprised at how nice the place was. Although single rooms are often small, hot, etc, mine was spacious, beautifully decorated, and the air conditioner worked! Fantastic buffet breakfast, and courteous, professional staff.

We stayed for 2 nights. Staff were very helpful and polite. Ate in Restaurant 3 times - food very good. Nice buffet breakfast. Room was spacious and clean.
Nice pool and cafe/bar. Plenty of parking spaces. Hotel a bit dated, could do with a facelift - but for the money we paid was good value.
Beware if you want to go into Bologna there is only parking for residents, so you would need to catch a bus which takes about 15 minutes. All in all a very good hotel.

Lovely brand new hotel - just check before you arrive that the shuttle bus is running!

Description
Hotel is situated at 300 m. from the Central Railway station, at 1.500m. from Exhibition centre and "Mambo": and only 20 minutes walking from "Piazza Maggiore" the "Two Towers", "Neptune fountain" and Civical Archeological Museum: 7 km from G. Marconi Airport and 70 km from Ridolfi Airport Forli. The hotel name comes from the xvii century painter G.F. Barbieri, who was called "ll Guercino" because of his marked squint. He contributed, with his original and self-taught painting, to the important historical-artistic period belonging to I Carracci, Guidi Reni, Domenichino, Francesco Albani, allessandro Tairini and to many other protagonists of classical revival of Italian painting. It is not by chance that the hotel is in via luigi serra (he was a painter, too), in a qualet area, behind the railway station, whose streets recall the names of the distinguished mentioned artists. Hidden technologies and a lot of care in a harmonious and relaxing combination, air-conditioned, satellite lcd TV, telephone, Internet, internet point, wireless internet connection free of charge, minibar, shower hydromassage. The room and bedding was nice. The doors are PAPERTHIN so be aware. The decor is updated and cool.

Friendly Service, good location and really nice breakfast.
But the single room is very small with a window next to some service area, wouldn't book it again.

Breakfast was really difficult to access with a child.
The room was great, modern & clean.
The hotel is situated close to the highway which is what we were looking for.

This hotel was walking distance to EVERYTHING!! The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. It is an adorable hotel with an adorable staff!!

Très décevant. Mauvais accueil. Chambre et ascenseur très sale, toiles d'araignées, insectes. Piscine non entretenue et sale (verdure sur les revêtements de piscine). Tapisserie de la chambre déchirée, sèche cheveux cassé. Petit déjeuner très moyen (pas de beans).
Nous avons du demander à changer de chambre tellement il y avait d'insectes à l'étage.
