The Royal Hotel Carlton, located in the heart of Bologna, beside the pedestrian area, has recently been significantly renovated and is at the highest level among Bolognese hotels. The structure, of the highest quality both for its elegance and professionalism, holds 237 rooms, a conference centre with unquestionably ample space, an exclusive wellness centre with a gym and covered pool and reserved garage parking with 400 places, all surrounded by a large garden.
Guests are welcomed in the spacious foyer, with its elegant and refined finishing touches, by the professionalism of the staff, and encounter the characteristically hospitable and efficient climate of all Monrif Hotels.
The corner areas of the foyer, divided into reserved alcoves, are the ideal places to relax or discuss business with the greatest privacy in a remarkable setting.
A business centre and Wi-Fi connectivity, in all public areas, are available for guests.

Passing through

I stayed 2 nights at this hotel prior to a meeting in Parma. I spent one night at at hotel in Fieri that is supposed to be near the airport (BLQ). The Carlton and nearby area is far superior. You pay more, but you'll get some back on the cab fare. The breakfast is great, elsewhere is not so good. NOTE: If your wife is along, you may pay more due to shopping.
