Tre Vecchi - Bologna
This hotel is very well placed. The rooms are very well equipped and chambermaids do a fantastic job. Breakfast is advertised from 7.00 to 10..30am. At 9.00 Saturday & Sunday There was no scrambled egg left and we were told tuto finito A great shame as it spoils a good property.

Good value in Bologna
Very convenient location. Good breakfast....lots of pastries, cereal, fresh fruit, juices, cheese, ham, boiled eggs, yogurt. Nicely remodeled bath with hairdryer. Ample closet space/drawers. Nice linens. Mattress could use a little help. Decent hotel overall.

Short walk from hotel
Try the trattorias on or just of of Via Marsala, just a few blocks toward Piazza Maggiore. Especially try Trattoria Belfiore. Not a big sign in front....look for wood paneled interior.

Downtown Bologna Hotel
Although the Hotel Tre Vecchi was very accomodating with staff and room, the neighborhood has something to be desired. Dirty, trash blowing around, near university with many store fronts with gates and metal bars across them. Also, you do not get a hot breakfast with hotel stay, only cold cereals, fruit and deli meats and cheese. Breakfast staff not very helpful and didn't speak English as well as Front Desk personnel.

Short walk from hotel
Nice restaurant/pizzeria called Victoria's around the block from hotel. Waiter spoke English and made great recommendations.
