This is an excellent standard hotel for its category. MS 08-06 Built into a terraced block, this is a typical modern building of the 70s. Situated in the centre of Como close to the shopping district of the town. It is convenient for all transport with the train station being a five-minute walk away and public buses stopping almost directly outside the hotel.

This hotel is 10 min walk from either train station in Como. The rooms are nice and they had been renovated recently.
The hotel staff is very good. The price paid for this 3 star hotel make it a good value.
I do recommend this hotel for business people looking for a central place to stay in Como.

Ne pas s'arrêter sur la façade de l'hôtel ! Entrez et vous verrez. Accueil agréable, chambre propre, calme (ne donnait pas sur la rue), juste un peu de bruit causé par la tuyauterie... Petit déjeuner varié, peut être un peu plus "fait maison" (jus d'orange, cake..). On y retournera.

The hotel interior was beautiful. If they renovated the rooms just a little and got some nicer beds it would be worth paying significantly more because the service and location are also great!
The service here was all smiles. The breakfast was very nice and people serving it were very very friendly.
Don't bother trying their wireless internet here; they wanted 5 Euros for 30 minutes!! Walk around the corner instead to the duomo where internet access is provided free by the municipality.

The town is quiet. The hotel is at the top of the town and therefore you must be willing to walk down and then I suggest you take a taxi back up. They have a garage which is great - we parked our car there and then walked down to town. The restaurant was rented out that night for a wedding so we did not try it. Our room was bi level -meaning there was a bathroom and sofa downstairs and then a spiral staircase up to the bedroom with a double bed and a single - quite large even for American standards. The funny part was the shower in the bathroom. The shower was the bathroom. Meaning like our shower on our boat where the floor of the bathroom is the floor of the shower - you pull the shower curtain around you and the shower head is on the ceiling - it is a little odd. The rooms are a little dated but have the potential to be really awesome with updated colors and furnishings- has a pink and black art deco feel without the art deco structure. I am not sure if all rooms are like this. We stayed on a whim. The night before we stayed north on Lake Como and thought we would stay another day and looked on line - this hotel sounded great so we booked it - therefore I am not sure if we got one of the non updated rooms. The pool is small. Overall it was nice but the oddest room I have ever stayed in and I travel over 50% of the time for work. If you want an experience I would recommend it because at the end of the day the view from that high on the mountain over the lake was awesome!

I would not suggest this hotel to anyone. The room was so dusty is was disgusting! There was no water pressure in the shower and the hot water randomly came on like boiling water was flowing. The room was an echo chamber and you could hear every noise in the hallway and on the stairs. We stayed at several hotels during our 2 weeks in Italy and this place was the worst place ever!
The breakfast staff was rude. The hotel doesn't have anywhere to store your bags if you get in early or want to check out and spend more time in the city.

Park Hotel is a modern building, quite close to the historical and to the shopping area, which offers to the tourist and to the businessman a nice staying in a pleasant and confortable environment. There were a few good things I can say about this place, but overall the rating goes to "ordinary".
Good things: Ham at the morning buffet. The lady who recommended a very good restaurant in town. Bathroom was spacious compared to the room itself.
Area of improvement: Parking situation (no parking for the hotel, street parking only and we had to keep paying). The room was very small for 3 people even though I booked as triple. The beds were not that comfortable. The extra single bed was really small. Internet was not free.
The price was decent for the area, so it is an OK hotel.

I recommend this hotel for small budgets : very good price/quality ratio.
The room is spacious and so is the bathroom
The hotel employees are charming.
Not far from the center of town, one can walk the distance.
The hotel needs to be refreshed but clean.

The women at the front desk were amazing, the lacation was the best you could hope for, we loved it. We walked everywhere and the boats to cross the lake were just across a beautiful square w/ restaurants and shops. We would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Como. Enjoy and Caio

This was a two-night stay on route for Tuscany - it proved an ideal base for two days of relaxation. View from room across Lake Como was superb and hotel felt very comfortable and friendly. Parking is at a nearby hotel and easily acccessible. Some good local restaurants, especially for sea-food. Como will look better when current lake-front improvements have been finished - currently a bit of a building site. Even with satnav, finding the route through Como from the motorway was an interesting experience - returning was much easier!

The hotel looks good but it's the emporer's new clothes. It's at $30 taxi ride to the lake and the airport shuttle advertised on the website is a Mercedes Benz at $150.

Very friendly staff, gave us lake view room at booked price. Room was large and comfortable, but bath as noted had an old, narrow tub with a shower handle so you needed to sit to bathe. Narrow tub made it difficult to do that without spraying water all over the room. Breakfast was excellent and location is prime across from boat dock. Nice view and overall good experience.

Hotel Splendide has excellent location on Lake Como. Clean. No air conditioning, but that is rare at all the hotels on the lake. No room service. Staff recommends not drinking the tap water. They charge for bottled water. A good breakfast is included. Near many shops and restaurants. Staff extremely helpful to arrange activites, car, etc. There is much to do at Lake Como, so for a place used primarily for a restful night, I recommend this hotel. The back side away from the road was very quiet.

We were immediately greeted for help with parking and checking bags. Our room was great with nice bathroom,comfortable beds and spectacular view. The daily buffet breakfast, included, was excellent. The floor was wooden which squeaked a bit. We felt the dinning at the hotel was expensive however. This is an impressive hotel and would recommend to anyone.

We were very lucky to be given a newly renovated room and bathroom. The bathroom is fairly spacious by european standards and the toiletries provided was above our expectation..they even provided a satchet of aloe vera make-up remover ...very Japanese in service! However the srping bed needs some getting used to as it's very bouncy for me.

we enjoyed our stay at this hotel - we had a balcony room on the first floor which overlooked the lake and the view is quite spectacular. The staff were very friendly, the facilities were modern and the room was very clean.
We drove in from Switzerland and we found that Gravedona was quite away around the lake but the hotel was worth the drive.

This hotel more than met our expectations. The views from our room were breath-taking. Breakfast was way above average with coffee served as soon as you were seated.
We found Gravedona to be a peaceful, convenient location with a great restaurant near the tourist info building.[We took a day trip into Switzerland]
I can honestly say the Hotel Regina was one of our best experiences yet, and we've been to many hotels in Europe and the U.S.

History echoes throughout its gardens, while the stunning villa, featuring an eclectic and Renaissance style, brings us back to the time when opera singer Giuditta Pasta, who inspired Vincenzo Bellini, lived there. At the villa the composer, enchanted by the lake landscape between Moltrasio and Blevio, wrote his two greatest works, Norma and La Sonnambula, that were first played by Giuditta Pasta, the real Casta Diva of the hymn to the moon that Bellini wrote on the romantic shores of Lake Como
