- Hotel Colomba is situated in the centre of Florence in an elegant Tuscan building that dates back to the seventeen hundreds. The location of the hotel is perfect for visiting all of the major attractions and artistic highlights that this city has to offer such as Piazza del Duomo, the Uffizi Gallery, Piazza della Signoria and Ponte Vecchio. Hotel Colomba can be easily reached by both public and private transportation. In only 5 minutes walking distance, one can access the Central Train Station Santa Maria Novella.

A true little gem of a hotel.
I booked this hotel after reading reviews on many different websites. The location couldn't have been much better, everything in the centre was easily within walking distance, the Duomo being less than 5 mins, Michelangelo's David being less than 5 in the other direction, and the Palazzo Medici practically next door. I was greeted by fantastic, friendly staff who gave me a map and pointed out all the sites and gave tips on where to walk to reach that point. The room was spotlessly clean, as was the shower/toilet room. I slept easily every night in a comfortable bed. I didn't have breakfast while I stayed because I was always in a hurry to get out and explore. I think you would have to go a long way to match this little gem for the price.

Great location, great staff
Hotel was in a perfect location to get to the Duomo and surrounding sites. Staff was really nice and made our stay pretty special. Room was a little small but what rooms in Florence aren't? We would stay there again.

Great location. Wonderful staff
The hotel is located on the second floor. The elevator can fit only 2 persons and their luggage. The room was roomy and comfortable. The bathroom was small. The location is great and the staff was VERY helpful, the breakfast was very satisfying and ample. Before we came we ask the hotel owner to get us reservation for the Accademia and they (unlike other sites) did not charge any extra fees. Overall the staff was GREAT and caring and if you overlook the small elevator and the small bathroom this is a great find.

We travelled through Italy as
We travelled through Italy as mother and adult son, when my adult daughter decided to join us in Florence. I tried to change the booking for 2 people to 3 people the day before and it hadn't reached the Hotel. Anyway, they made every effort to accommodate the 3 of us at a very reasonable extra cost. This was very much appreciated. Our room (no 6) even had a small balkony overlooking a charming Florencian backyard. The internet was provided free, the breakfast was ample, the staff was very helpful with all our questions. The hotel is located 5 minutes from the centre and 10 min to the Uffizi. They have an arrangement with a carpark that picks up your car on arrival and deliveres the car back on departure, making it a carefree holiday. A tip on bike rental close by made it very easy for us to discover a much greater area of Florence then if we would have by foot.
