Beware of thieving employees
Initially the hotel seemed lovely - pleasant people at reception and concierge Clean rooms - although mine smelled of smoke as one of the other people have commented. However, the breakfast room is like a motorway service station - skip it and get a coffee outside. Unfortunately as I was leaving to get my plane, I briefly used the restaurant female toilets downstairs. No one was around so I left a jacket, small bag (with a laptop) and hand luggage just outside the cubicle by the washbasin (still in the bathroom) - as I couldn't take it all into the cubicle. I exited a few seconds later to find a male employee in a grey uniform dashing out of the females toilets having been interrupted while trying to steal my stuff. I told the receptionist and she just shrugged. I accept that I took a risk leaving a bag outside the cubicle BUT I was at the hotel and still inside the ladies. And the last thing I expected was a staff member to try and steal something.

SOLO TRAVELER
Nice Place to Stay
This was a nice hotel to stay at. The room was very clean and close to the Duomo (a quick walk up the hill). Do some planning before you stay, there was not a lot of information at the hotel about Milan itself. Most of the staff were very pleasant.

Milan Traveler
Old Smokey Rooms
Great location for a hotel. Check in was friendly, bellman was really nice. We get to the room and it smelled like someone just smoked a cigarette in the room before we checked in. Downstairs we were told that all the rooms were smoking. The room looked probably like it did when they just opened, a long time ago, small 20" tube TV included. Surprised it even had a remote. Beds were tiny, hesitate to call it a "twin," and the bathroom is not very comfortable, more like a bad motel. I think whoever rated this a 4 star needs to take fresh look at it again. Location was the only plus. VERY close walking distance to the Duomo. If you're a smoker and just need a place to sleep, might be a good place if you get a great deal.

Over all, the hotel was absolutely
Over all, the hotel was absolutely perfect!! Next time in Milan, definitely stay at Brunelleschi again!!!

Very very satisfied
Could not have asked for better. Great price. But other than price the service was of a 5 star hotel. The staff was super friendly, the location was outstanding and the hotel was very clean and comfortable. 5 star experience!
