Very poor nights sleep
At over 300 euros a night for a premium room, you expect a comfortable, quiet night's sleep. Instead, we were kept awake all night by a noisy wedding going on (noisy guests, noisy drumming and noisy band)... this went on all night, well beyond midnight. Called the hotels reception to complain, they refused to tell the band to turn the music down, and they refused to refund the cost of the lost night's sleep. Poor, very poor.

Beautiful Hotel
The hotel itself is really beautiful and the rooms are extremely comfortable and well appointed. Though the location is not in the center, they have a car service that takes guests to the center. For us, though, the hotel and staff were a little too formal and stiff. We prefer a little more of a warm environment.

Front Desk and Restaurant staff
Front Desk and Restaurant staff were excellent. Very helpful and always a smile. They provided excellent service. The Concierges were also very helpful with assistance and advice but a friendly smile would not go astray. On arrival we were upgraded to a Deluxe room. The room was well airconditioned and very clean. Noise from the trams at the back of the Hotel was a little intrusive at first, mainly in the very early hours of the morning. Our room was a corner room at the back. Sound insulation could have been better. Word of warning, the breakfast (not included in the room charge), though quite good, is not worth the astronomical price charged. Dinner was also quite pricey but excellent with excellent service by all the restaurant staff. Bottom line - this hotel is overpriced for what is offered.

Great place - break out the wallet A LOT
Gorgeous place for a once in a lifetime experience. Don't fall for the discount rates if you are staying for more than a night or two. Cafe went for 10 Euro and there is nothing around the hotel to walk to for a dinner, cafe or break. Limo service daily to downtown was the only free amenity that was greatly appreciated. If you miss the limo or it is full, be sure to turn in your taxi receipt at the desk for reimbursement. No one told us until the end. In fact, make sure you ask about everything. Pool is fabulous after a hot day. Concierge is very helpful and needed.

Dining tip:
Long walk from hotel
Via Palermo has 4 great restaurants within the same block - staff will help you through the menu and the antipasti is very authentic. Reasonable prices compared to most places. A little noisy, but it's total Italian - not many tourists. Favorite is Fuoco at #11 - 2nd favorite is at #21. Be careful of August. Timeout guide recommended a number of places that were all closed in August and not mentioned in the guide. Call ahead.

Excellent hotel
Without a doubt a 5 star luxury hotel, which I got for a ridiculous price on Orbitz. Beautiful room, only problem was that it was a bit dark with a window facing the internal courtyard. Fabulous gym & pool on 10th floor overlooking the city. Location not great for just wandering around but short ride away from everything.
