Nice hotel across from train station

The NH is a nice hotel - large for Pisa, and right across from the train station. That makes it very convenient for travelling but it is about a 20-25 minute walk to the Leaning Tower. That wasn't a problem for us. The front desk did however, charge us for the rooms which I had prepaid for with Orbitz. I do't know why that happened, but Orbitz eventually refunded us.

Sightseeing tip: Long walk from hotel

Go to the tower first thing in the morning (opens at 9?) or make a reservation for the evening. The crowds are much less, the temperature is cooler and the lighting for pictures is perfect.

modern, in front of the train station!

Very nice and modern hotel, room very spacious and nice. Located in front of the train station but 10 minutes driving from pisa tower! that is a little inconvenient if you not have a car.

We landed in the middle of the

We landed in the middle of the 'volcano' chaos. Our flight had been cancelled and there was panic eveywhere! Our superior room proved to be a most wonderful oasis. Our triple room had 3 flat screen TVs to keep us updated on several channels. Staff were very helpful and patient.Located straight across from Pisa Centrale station meant we were able to beat the queues in the morning and book trains across Europe to get us to Paris and eventually home.

double charged!??!

it was good besides the fact that when i got home i noticed that this hotel apparently did not honor my orbitz reservation and my credit card was charged seperately for the one night stay. Orbitz customer service is handling this now, and they are not doing the best job of it.

Excellent location

If you arrive by train and you have an early flight, this is your hotel. You can easily walk from the train to your room in one minute and it takes two minutes by taxi to get to the airport. The rooms are excellent in terms of design/comfort, although I had problems setting the temperature.
