Situé dans un quartier calme à deux pas de la villa Borghese, son rapport qualité prix est bon si l'on considère les prix romain et qu'à défaut d'être touristique le quartier est chic.

The staff was helpful, courteous and welcoming throughout our stay. I would recommend this hotel anytime. The room was clean, large and up to date. The shower was small but got the job done. Being in the city there was traffic noise if the window was open, but when shut, the room was quiet. The hotel is close to the bus station so travel through the city was inexpensive. In my mind this is a 5 star hotel.

The hotel is very close to Termini, Trevi Fountain, and the Coliseum. The staff was extremely warm and friendly. They helped us set up tours, gave us directions to all tourist sights, and recommended restaurants in the city.

La chambre est petite mais fonctionnelle et bien agencée. Grande salle de bain. Lit double large et confortable. Chaleur étouffante à notre arrivée et impossible de laisser la fenêtre ouverte à cause du bruit de la rue. N'essayez pas de régler la température individuelle, le réglage est centralisé contrairement aux instructions dans la chambre. Mais le personnel, serviable et disponible a fait le nécessaire. Ne parlent pas un mot de français, il faut se débrouiller en italien ou en anglais. Nous avons pu profiter agréablement du sauna et du spa (en fait un bassin avec quelques jets) situé en sous-sol pour 15€/jour. Petit déjeuner copieux mais de qualité standard sans plus, dans une véranda située sur la terrasse au 6ième étage avec vue dominante (pas extraordinaire mais sympa quand même sur un bon angle de 90 degrés) sur la ville. L'hôtel (au total plutôt un 3* ou un 3.5* qu'un véritable 4*) est bien situé à 3 minutes de la place Barberini où se trouvent les arrêts de bus et une station de métro. C'est toutefois à pied que l'on se rend en 10-15' dans le centre historique en contrebas (oui, le soir il faut remonter un peu mais ça va). Nombreux musées, pas tous intéressants mais voyez le musée Barberini juste en face de l'hôtel. La plupart des endroits intéressants sont accessibles à pied (fontaine de Trevi à 10 minutes) et même le Colysée pour les bons marcheurs qui veulent aussi profiter de l'ambiance festive dans les rues (notamment la via Del Corso avec beaucoup de monde).

Just returned from a five day trip in Rome where I stayed at the Hotel Barberini. As it was my first time in Rome, the location (close to everything, but relatively quiet neighborhood) was perfect. I had a change of plans after making the reservation which required me to add another guest to the room. I called the desk staff prior to my trip and was happy to find the staff very friendly and helpful. They even immediately sent an email confirming the conversation. Upon arrival, I discovered that the mattress in my room had a small problem. After reporting the problem, the mattress was replaced immediately. As I had read on other reviews, the rooms are quite small, but otherwise comfortable, very clean, and well decorated.

The only small problem was the fan in the bathroom which stayed on all night, since emailing the hotel this has been rectified for future guests. Friendly staff ideal location to see the attractions. Good clean hotel for the price although the rooms are small.

The staff were all very helpful with one hotel front desk receptionist (young man) extremely helpful and very kind. Most of the staff knew fairly good English and were glad to help whenever they could. The breakfast was good and saved a lot of money by eating there in the mornings. The location was perfect walking distance to most of the major sites in Rome, just a stones throw from the Colosseum and Forum. If you are willing to get some exercise it is even worth the walk to the Vatican, about an hour away. There is no airport shuttle as the reservations suggested, but that is minor as you can catch a bus, train or taxi as you prefer. An excellent week in Roma!

Séjour agréable, le personnel est très aimable et informe volontiers des renseignements divers dont on a besoin. L'hotel est propre, cadre sympathique, le pt-dej est copieux.
Seul inconvénient, l'hotel est situé dans une zone" habitation", et non commerçante, donc pas de restaurants dans le coin. Les arrêts de bus sont à environ 10mn à pieds de l'hotel...

My friend and I enjoyed the hotel. The architecture itself had a real European feel, while the interior decor had been recently redone and was fresh and stylish. They served a generous breakfast buffet with offerings for every taste. The staff helped us out when necessary and were very thoughtful. We had a good quiet rest after long days of walking, climbing, and walking some more.

Das Hotel liegt neben dem Termini - die Gegend dort ist nicht so berauschend, dafür sind die Trattorias dort wesentlich billiger als in der Nähe der Sehenswürdigkeiten.
Das Hotel hat eine 24 Std. besetzte Rezeption und sie sind immer bemüht jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen.
Der Aufzug ist recht schmal. Zwei Personen und zwei Koffer gehen sich gerade aus.
Das Frühstück ist mehr als ausreichend und sehr abwechslungsreich. Obst, Wurst, Käse, Eierspeise, Speck, Joghurt, Müsli, Säfte, usw.
Wir hatten gottseidank eines von den renovierten Zimmern im 5. Stock zum Innenhof (Nr. 525). Minibar war zwar leer und beim Fernsehen gab es nur einen deutschen Sender (VOX), aber ansonsten waren wir mit dem Zimmer vollkommen zufrieden.
Diese Hotel ist auf jeden Fall für eine Städtreise zu Empfehlen. Guter Ausgangspunkt für alle Besichtigungstouren und die nähe zum Termini ist top!

Clean room. Well maintained. Boutique style. Everything you need is in 5 min walking distance. The staff is professional, but can be taken as unfriendly. This is the culture. You gotta love the 18th century elevator....lol! It works great, but looks like it should be part of a museum.

Hôtel très calme et agréable, personnel correct. La literie est très confortable, la chambre propre. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et complet, la salle de restaurant est assez petite pour déjeuner tranquillement.
Un seul point faible, l'éloignement par rapport au centre ville. Bien qu'un minibus soit disponible il ne contient que 7 places qui sont vites remplies, même en voulant réserver à l'avance. Pas de métro, de tram à proximité ; il faut marcher 30 minutes pour arriver à la Piazza del Popolo. Et les restaurants les plus proches pour sortir le soir sont à une vingtaine de minutes à pied...

Malgré sa situation un peu excentré du coeur de la ville, cet hôtel a l'avantage d'être au calme dans un quartier résidentiel de Rome. Malgré tout, on y accède par les transports en commun. Son accueil (avec une mention spéciale pour le manager), sa propreté et son buffet au petit déjeuner (compris dans le prix de la chambre) sont les points forts de cet établissement. Je recommande cet hôtel.

Great hotel but way over priced!

This was a really nice hotel located close to the train station and some of the big attractions in Rome. The free breakfast was great and the rooms were really nice. We didn't have hot water a few different times during our 4 day stay and I didn't like have to pay for wifi in my room, but other than it was over all a pleasant stay.

More modern hotel in Rome that is located very near the Rome Termini train station which is good for both local subway trip and longer train trips to different cities. Hotel rooms are nice and clean and had comfortable beds. Breakfast included in the room rate from orbitz has a wide variety of pastries, meats, juices etc. Very helpful staff. Nearby restaurants are decent but better to head out on the town for really great food. Also very near to souvenir shopping. free internet in the lobby but limited to 30minute intervals and connection is spotty.

Overall we were all pleased with the hotel and our visit to Rome. The lobby and elevator were probably the smallest I have ever seen. The elevator had notices posted that no more than three people were allowed in the elevator or it would break. In our case it was me and my wheelchair only and only if the wheelchair were collapsed. The hotel personnel were very helpful.

This hotel is located in one of the most prime loctaions within the city. Its not as close as a couple of blocks but its still pretty close. We used the hop on hop off bus which has the two spots very close by also making our site seeing much easier. The hotel had a quaintness about it but very clean and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was very basic but helped to get the day started.
Something to take note of is that the hotel closes from 2am to 5am everynight and they lock the doors. We were dead asleep by then so it did not worry us at all! I would gladly stay here again!!!

If we are ever lucky enough to get back to the beautiful city of Rome, we will stay here again. The room was comfortable and large enough, given that hotel rooms in Europe and Italy are small. The bed was very comfortable, room was always clean and tidy when we returned after a long day.
THE LOCATION OF THIS HOTEL IS SIMPLY PERFECT! Just 2 blocks to the metro, train and bus station called Termini. (We saw no reason to spend a lot of money on an extravagant hotel room knowing we would not be in it much.) Location was everything and we had it all.
I would recommend a room looking over the inner courtyard as the city is very noisy in the morning. We vacationed in April and had to have the window open for cool air so had difficulty sleeping in the morning due to the street noise.
The friendly staff could not have been better and were very helpful on each and every question and concern we had. The continental breakfast was more than sufficient to start each busy day.
The room lacked hooks and enough hangers to hang jackets and other articles of clothing on (it looked as though the wall lighting has been used for hooks as they were hanging as through ready to fall off). The snack fridge was useless as it was housed in a cabinet under the desk which had no ventilation so the items inside were not cold.
Would have been nice if the Augusta had a restaurant, but there are so many good ones around that you don't lack a selection. Go to the first one the hotel staff recommends (Cecio Cecio, I think.) It's not far and they are quite accommodating and friendly with enough of a selection on the menu that you could eat there every night and not go wrong.
Finally, Rome was one of the friendliest cities we've every visited, except our own, of course!

We had a nice stay here, good location, close to Metro stop Cipro. Rooms were a bit small, Ice machine was broke the whole time we were there, front desk service was great. Overall we give it a 7 out of 10.

The staffs and location are excellent. The free breakfast buffet is great. It has hot scrambled eggs, bacon and also an assortment of pastries and fruits. Across the street there are a great Gellato store and also a great Chinese/Japanese restaurant which have great prices.

Eine bessere Lage hätten wir uns nicht wünschen können. Vom Bahnhof aus konnten wir gemütlich innerhalb von 15 Minuten zum Hotel gehen. Die Lage war perfekt um tagsüber wie abends Roms Sehenswürdigkeiten zu erkunden. Vor allem die Nähe zur spanischen Treppe und zum Viertel Spagna fanden wir perfekt. Wer nicht so gerne zu Fuß geht, kann bequem mit der Metro fahren, die viele sehenswerte Stadtteile im Zentrum Roms gut erreicht. Die Mertro -Station Barberini ist nur 3-5 Gehminuten entfernt.Mit der Metro sind wir allerdings nur zum Vatikan gefahren, da dieser 4 Metro-Stationen entfernt liegt.

Excellent emplacement et très bon hôtel...
Un bémol cependant en ce qui concerne la literie de notre chambre familiale ou le canapé-lit n'était pas très confortable.
Nous avons toutefois passé un excellent séjour dans cet hôtel.

Great staff, great hotel

Perfect location for us, near American University, convenient to everything (tram across the street). Staff is incredibly nice. Breakfast buffet is fabulous (if unchanging), the whole place is cleaner than clean. Paolo the bartender is great! Rooms a bit small, but wee-appointed and bathrooms are super! We all had massages and overall it was super!

Wir (2 Ehepaare aus Hameln/Deutschland) haben 5 Nächte in diesem schönen Hotel anlaesslich einer Citytour in Rom gewohnt.
Bei unsere Ankunft wurden wir herzlich und freundlich empfangen von Frau Splendore. Diese sehr nette Dame hat ihre sämtlichen Deutschkenntnisse ausgepackt, so dass wir uns dort gleich wie zu Hause gefühlt haben.
Die Informationen von ihr zum Hotel und die Tipps für unsere Romtouren waren sehr gut und trafen perfekt zu.
Wir hatten an sich keine Probleme mit der etwas kleinen Dusche im Badezimmer; für Schwergewichtige könnte das aber etwas problematischer sein. Aber uns hat das nicht gestört.
Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder dort übernachten, wenn wir nach Rom zurückkehren.

Very good location close to the metro and aldo walking distance to some nice attractions. The hop on hop off buses stop 2 minutes from the hotel. There is also a spa where you can use the sauna and turkish pool for free, but it needs some maintanance.
The hotel was very pricey and it didn't even include breakfast, it was another 25€ extra per person. They charged 10 euro for room service just for one coffee, which made the coffee cost 16 euro, which we thought was rediculous! As most hotels room service is free.

The hotel is very modern and not for everyone.
When I arrived the front desk personnel was very friendly and they gave me an excellent room with a terrace. The view was fantastic, so as the comfort of the hotel.
However, the day I left the staff was not helpful at all and they were even quite rude.
I would strongly recommend the directors to review the personnel staff. Despite that, I would recommend this hotel.

mais petit-déjeuner un peu trop succint.

A notre arrivé, le réceptionniste nous à uniquement donné la carte de la chambre sans même se donner la peine de nous expliquer le fonctionnement de l'hotel ( petit déjeuner, point internet, point d'information touristique).
1) La chambre est plus que passable avec un équipement TV uniquement nationale, l'absence de chauffage et une salle de bain avec une porte de douche cassé...
2) Après renseignement auprès du réceptionniste, nous avons pu avoir un accès internet moyennant 7€ pour l'ensemble du séjour ( qualité du WIFI faible compte tenue de notre éloignement de la réception) le jour suivant, nous nous sommes aperçues qu'un ordinateur avec un accès internet en libre service était disponible à coté de l’accueil.
3) Le petit déjeuner que dire ...... café horrible, pain sec, viennoiserie passable et salle trop petite ( 4 tables 12 personnes au total) je vous épargne donc la "file d'attente" pur le petit déjeuner.
