Centrally located, renovated hotel with stylish non-smoking rooms
A completely renovated 19th century property, the Augusta Lucilla Palace Hotel sits less than a 15-minute walk from many of Rome's most spectacular attractions, including the Opera Theatre, the Coliseum and the Spanish Steps. An Italian-Asian fusion restaurant serves dishes from Italian, Chinese, Japanese and Thai culinary traditions, and guests take buffet breakfasts on the roof top terrace in the summer. A multilingual staff mans the 24-hour reception, with a concierge available to help organize and book tours and tickets. The hotel is decorated in a modern, comfortable style, with sumptuous reds and creams, heavy drapes and dark wooden furniture evoking a classic Italian feel.

Great location, better price
The hotel was great especially for the price. It is walking distance from the main Train Terminal in Rome and many other tourist sights. Although the room was a little small, the hotel staff was pleasant and helpful.

Great service! Clean , small and nice rooms. Got a good price online. Good location if you arrive with train or buss from the airport. Simple but good enough breakfast. Would recommend this hotel to all my friends!

Clean Hotel near the train station
The room was clean and the location was perfect, as I was traveling to the airport the next morning and the hotel is 3 blocks away from the direct train to Rome's airport. I was on the first floor and the wifi signal did not work on that floor. The breakfast was not very good there are a number of good restaurants within walking distance

Excellent Hotel 7 minutes walk
Excellent Hotel 7 minutes walk from the Statione Termini. (Main Station of Rome) Room was very comfortable and breakfast was excellent with great variety.

Location is the selling point
This hotel is very close to the Rome Termini train station, which is the main train station. The staff speak English and are professional but not personable. They have many international tourists, and are very busy. They stick to their check-in time, so for Americans who arrive early in the morning you just have to wait till noon. The breakfast is included, and is OK but not great. Room size is similar to other major European city hotels - not a lot of space but if you try you get by.

Short walk from hotel
This hotel is very close to the Rome Termini train station, which is the main train station. It's about a 5-minute walk. If you intend to use the train to get to other cities, then this location can save you a lot of time and money you would otherwise spend going to the airport. Taking a train ride is very convenient and straightforward - no security check, and no requirement for arrival 1-hr prior to departure. Even with luggage, you can comfortably use the sidewalk all the way to get to the hotel, as long as your luggage have wheels. The rooms are small by American standard, but this is the norm in Europe so it is not a big deal. The TV is hung high on the wall to save desk space, but can cause your neck to sore if you watch it for a while. The hotel is close to Piazza Santa Maria Maggiore (church), and there is a supermarket there, which is useful to buy snacks and bottled water at very reasonable price.
