Centrally located, renovated hotel with stylish non-smoking rooms
A completely renovated 19th century property, the Augusta Lucilla Palace Hotel sits less than a 15-minute walk from many of Rome's most spectacular attractions, including the Opera Theatre, the Coliseum and the Spanish Steps. I'd stay here again
We actually stayed there two nights at both ends of a 10 day cruise. Both times we arrived way before noon, but there was no problem checking in early and without extra charge. The staff spoke English and the service was good. Both rooms were clean and quiet. The breakfast was excellent with someone constantly maintaining the food and cleaning tables. The location next to the train station is easily walkable and this saved a lot of cab fare. I'd stay here again for sure.

The distance to the Coliseum is walkable. Many others are too, but it is the distance to the train and subway that make this hotel really convenient.

Walking distance toalmosy all sites except Vatican city. More English speaking staff would have helped.

Good Hotel for Train Travelers

Lovely hotel -good location - great value
This hotel is close to the train station Termini and city touring busses. The hotel rooms are large and nicely decorated. Service was excellent and there was a nice breakfast included. We were going to take the train to the Airport but found that for the same price this hotel had a shuttle service that quickly took us to the airport and dropped us of right at the door of our departure terminal. This certainly was an extra value.

Great for seeing Rome
The location of this hotel was excellent. We were able to walk to just about every attraction we wanted to see and it was only a block from the main train terminal, making travel to Naples, Florence, Milan or Venice incredibly easy. Minor draw backs - the beds were very hard (but something we've found at other Italian hotels as well) and there was a beautiful bath tub, but no shower in the suite we had.

Great Hotel...Horrible Beds
Overall, this hotel was awesome. The staff was very helpful, the hotel was very clean and it is perfectly located (right next to main metro/train station). For the price, I was very surprised at just how amazing it was. The only complaint I had was that the beds were extremly hard. For a long stay this became a huge problem as it made it difficult to sleep at night. I would recommend this hotel to a friend but would make sure they knew how bad the beds are first.

The hotel is in good location,
The hotel is in good location, just 3mins.walk to the Termini station. Breakfast is ok, but no fresh fruits.. No coffee and tea making facilities at the room. The room is of good size and the bathroom is quite nice too.. For the price we payed for 4nights with breakfast, it was really a good deal! Recommended hotel!
