Horrible, Horrible
I would not recommend this Hotel. In their descriptions of there rooms, they lied. Our room was promised in writing to have air conditioning ( travel with an asthmatic) Guess what no?? no air. The shower head did not work, my friend got trapped in the elevator and their internet went down constantly..Everything about this hotel is bad... save your money and go somewhere great.. Dont get ripped off like I did.

Excellent location for a quick visit of Rome
From this hotel we walked everywhere: 5 mns to Trevi Fountain, 15 mns to the Spanish steps, 25 mns to the Colosseum, 30 mns to the Vatican. Breakfast is plenty although nothing food wise stands out - but the view, which is gorgeous. The rooms we had were very clean, beds were comfortable, looking out onto the central court they were very quiet but they were quite small: the kind where two people have to take turns going around the bed or accessing the closet - no dresser. Also at that price you would expect good TV reception! Pretty bathroom, lots of towels. Bring your bathing suit, there is a spa bath in the hotel which looked a appealing after a day of walking - but which I didn't try.

Beautiful Centrally Located Hotel
Our experience at the Barberini Hotel for our honeymoon was great. The staff was friendly and helpful, and even left us a bottle of Prosecco in the room to congratulate us! The location was very close to the Trevi Fountain and thus many other attractions, as well as the metro, restaurants and a grocery store. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and included for free. The wifi was also free, but a little slow. We found our top floor suite to be spacious for Europe standards, but saw into another regular room, and it was more along the lines of what you'd expect. The bed was quite firm, which we found a little uncomfortable, but everything else in the room and bathroom was great and super clean. The bathroom even had a US 110 outlet which was very convenient. I was also impressed that despite being so centrally located, there was not a lot of street noise overnight. Definitely would book here again!

Short walk from hotel
Go to the grocery store a block from the hotel to pick up bottled water and cokes for 0.75 euros instead of the street vendors or restaurants for 3-5 euros!

wonderful trip for my family
My adult kids and I loved this hotel. Handy location right near Barberini Metro stop and easy walking distance to all the great sights. (We even hoofed it home from the Vatican!) The staff was most gracious and helpful with all our questions. Quiet rooms, well appointed and lovely. Breakfast (included in price of room and sumptuous) was served in the glass-enclosed rooftop dining room with views of the city.

Perfect location
A well run small comfortable hotel with very helpful staff, in the centre of things with the Trevi fountain a few minutes walk away and most other"must-see" sites within walking distance. The beautiful Palazzio Barberini with its great Art Collection was across the road.

4 day trip
My daughter and I did a quick, "let's see everything we can" trip to Rome. The Barbarini was clean and the staff, polite and helpful, but the value is in the location. The hotel is a short, pleasant walk to the Trevi Fountain in one direction and the Spanish steps in the other. The Metro station is around the corner for a quick ride (with one train change) to the Colosseum, Palantine Hill, Roman Forum stop. For transportation to areas not well serviced with Metro, there is a cab stand at the Barbarini piazza. Very please & would return.

Location, location, location!
The location was excellent. Easy access to Metro to Colosseum, Vatican, etc. (Definitely get the Roma Pass for transportation and museum/site entrance.) It's an easy walk to the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. However, there will be a hill to climb the last block on your return to the hotel. Be sure to visit the museum across the street at the Palazzo Barberini. Beautiful and uncrowded (2 Caravaggios!) Hotel room was very comfortable with AC (necessary already mid May). Bathroom was large and modern. The absolute best part of the day was breakfast: looking out over the city (including St Peter's!) sipping coffee with steamed milk!!

Don't get lost when you arrive via the Metro. Exit Via Barberini (not Piazza Barberini) and turn left (looking at sign for Pepy's Bar)at Via della Quattro Fontane which takes you up a hill. Via Rasella is the second street on your right. You will see the hotel on that corner.

Good Location, Attentive Staff
Just returned from a five day trip in Rome where I stayed at the Hotel Barberini. As it was my first time in Rome, the location (close to everything, but relatively quiet neighborhood) was perfect. I had a change of plans after making the reservation which required me to add another guest to the room. I called the desk staff prior to my trip and was happy to find the staff very friendly and helpful. They even immediately sent an email confirming the conversation. Upon arrival, I discovered that the mattress in my room had a small problem. After reporting the problem, the mattress was replaced immediately. As I had read on other reviews, the rooms are quite small, but otherwise comfortable, very clean, and well decorated.
