Quality Hotel Rouge et Noir Roma

This is an awful hotel. Rated as 4* when really it is only 2* at a push. The toom was very small and had an ant infestation. The bathroom walls hadould growing between the tiles. There was a holes behind the toilet for the pipe to go through which was left wide open and had not been sealed around the pipe. Despite how it looks on thw website everything is old and worn. It desperately needs a make over. During the day the only food and drink was available from a cafe located put of the hotel. There is a swimming pool but there is a charge to use it even for hotel guests. The cost of the internet access is ridiculously high as is the cost for the tv. The only free english speaking channel is CNN. Some channels did not work at all. The staff could not tell us what times the public services ran at. This hotel is too far away from the city requiring a bus and train journey to get there. It is also built on a steep hill which is an unpleasant climb especially with luggage. Not suitable if you don't have a car. The location is very quiet and in a fairly run down area so there is very little to do in the evenings. We intend to return to Rome in the future but will not even consider staying here. Stayed in a 3* near the airport on our return to the uk and thought we had landed in paradise. It was everything you expect a higher rated hotel to be for the same price as the rouge et noir.

away from Rome center but with teh 211 bus not a problem. You need to carry a lot of cash for this hotel as they want you to pay the swimming pool, the breakfast and the shuttle bus separately and in cash and you cant charge your hotel room. mini bar did not work, plumbing is very old. dust everywhere. nobody hoovered our room in 6 days. Not a family hotel (no children play area, no children menu...)Not a 4* hotel by other European standards but cheap compared to central hotels.

The hotel actually exceeded our expectations in terms of $/quality.

The hotel was great with professional, friendly and helpful staff. It was a little out of the city with not much around but had excellent shuttle bus service. Very comfortable rooms and great tv channels and music to listen to. The bath was lovely. After staying in Rome one night in a dodgy hotel near the rail terminus this place was like a true eden - much better than being in the busy inner city.

Das Hotel ist weit ab vom Schuss. Es bietet zwar einen Shuttleservice an, kann aber wenn der kleine Bus (25 Personen) voll ist nicht genutzt werden. Von gesamt zwei Taxifahrten hat bei einer der Taxifahrer 25 Eur (anstatt 8 Eur) kassiert. Das Hotel ist abgewohnt aber sauber. Die Betten sind bequem.

Eigentlich Preis/Leistung ist ok. Von Metro ist Hotel 1 Km erfernt. Deshalb ist die Lage auch für den Preis bestens. In der Nähe (500m) ist sogar ein Einkaufszentrum.Leider am Anfang ist es schwierig das Hotel zu finden, da es in den Wohnquartieren liegt. Saubere Zimmer, super Personal. Aber Leider ist Wireless nur in der Cafeteria bzw. beim Eingang gratis. Im Zimmer gibts kein Wireless (Wifi). Wobei gemäss der Ausschreibung und Buchung der WIFI im Zimmer sein sollte. Fernseher ist auch kostenpflichtig. Deshalb waren die Erwartungen eintäuschend aufgrund den letzten Punkten, da wir auf Internet angewiesen warn.
