Great view and swimming pool.
We had a very nice room with a balcony overlooking the sea, which was wonderful. The bed, linens, etc are very comfortable and everything was very clean. The hotel has a restaurant, of sorts. It is the same room that breakfast is served in and it is more like a buffet than a dining experience. Also, they offer no room service and all dining shuts down in the afternoon, even at the pool. The staffing in the hotel could have been better. They weren't rude, they weren't very helpful or friendly. They do the minimum. But, I would put up with the lack of customer service to stay at this hotel again because of the property, views and pool...

Maybe 2 blocks up the street from the hotel is a wonderful, inexpensive family owned pizzeria with carry out. Good food and good value.

Wonderful Mediteranean Hotel
This was a beautiful and well equipped and maintained hotel - easily the best we experienced in Italy. It was situated directly on the water at the top of the cliffs. Our room overlooked the bay with Vesuvius directly across the water and the town spread out on both sides. The hotel room was large, well furnished, very clean, and the only complaint was that the shower was modern but small. For wireless internet connections, you need a separate password for each computer or iphone, and the signal is weak or non-existent on upper floors, but the sea views from the upper floors was wonderful. Included breakfast was excellent. Dinner was fine, but somewhat expensive and formal. The nearest restaurant, across the street, was very good, but had limited hours.

Short drive from hotel
Use the hotel shuttle to get to the center of Sorrento, because the city bus ("C" bus) is convenient but unreliable. If it appears, it is efficient and cheap, but it does not appear on schedule.

First class Service and a fantactic view
Geat location for trips to Vesuvius, Capri, Pompeii, Herculanerum, Napoli, and the Almalfi Coast. Within walking distance from downtown Sorrento (25 minutes), however shuttle from hotel is available.
