ocation of the hotel was good, just a few blocks from St Marks square. The breakfast was good, good service and food. We had upgraded to a Jr Suite, it was a nice size room with hardwood floor and good furnishings. Internet service was poor.

Hôtel de très bon niveau, bien placé avec des chambres confortables et bien décorées. Petit déjeuner complet et varié dans un très beau salon. Environnement très calme et personnel accueillant et compétent. Un seul bémol sur la douche dont l'installation aurait besoin d'être revue. Pour le reste, rien à redire. Nous étions dans une annexe de l'hôtel qui se trouve sur la place ce qui nous donnait l'impression de loger en appartement et c'est bien agréable !

Bon sejour qqe regrets sans grand importance eu egard a la crise et au reste.. donc chambre un peu petite ( manque de rangement pour un sejour d'une semaine ) et petit dejeuner un peu basic et sans aucune originalité

accueil très bien et en francais . nous avions reserve une chambre double de luxe avec vue sur la lagune. A notre arrive il nous on propose une annexe a 2 minutes de l'hotel sur le meme quai pour le meme prix. Suite avec 2 chambres et salon privé et une personne a votre disposition pour le petit déj. vraiment trés bien. je conseille vivement cet hotel.

The hotel is perfectly located between Rialto Bridge and San Marco Square. Only 10 minutes to either. Front door is right on a canal. We haven't stayed at other hotels in Venice, so it is hard to compare room size. But we did find our room to be spacious, clean, newly refurbished. We got the only interior room without a view of the canal. The benefit is that it was very quiet. Our room actually had no room number as the others did. It was just marked "privato". So if you want quiet, that is the room to request. Breakfast was standard lunch meat, cheese, pastries, bread yogurt and granola. Staff was helpful and instructive when needed.

Hotel calme, propre et discret tout tout prêt de la place saint marc. Les chambres sont petites, mais elle sont convenables et conformes à ce qui est prévu. Le personnel est souriant et disponible

hotel was in a really good location and very easy to find on arrival. it's close to all the main tourist sights and the waterbus is right outside for trips to murano and other nearby islands. lovely friendly staff, clean rooms and an adequate breckfast with proper coffees made freshly for you. all in all excellent value for money.

Kleines, aber nettes Hotel. Komfort war ok. Tagsüber ist es recht laut, da es an einem Platz mit einer Kirche liegt, was dem Hotel aber auch wieder einen romantischen Touch verleiht. Fenster sind absolut schalldicht und die Klimaanlage funktionierte sehr gut (im Mai). Nachts ist es ganz ruhig und die Kirchenglocken läuten erst um 9:00 Uhr morgens. Wenn man in der Nähe vom Marcusplatz nächtigen möchte und keine gehobenen Ansprüche hat, ist das Hotel die perfekte Wahl. Ich würde Freunden eher ein Hotel empfehlen, das weiter von Trubel entfernt liegt.

The hotel is situated at the valperato stop so is very easy to find about 30 mtrs up the alley. Our room overlooked the square and was nicely decorated with comfy beds. We visited in Nov and the hotel was warm. Breakfast is taken in the sister hotel near the water which suited us. Staff are happy and very helpful.If you turn left and left again when leaving the hotel, you pass shops and restaurants and get to St Marks square entering at the side of the Bailica, which you must make time to visit. I will be going back to this hotel.

The location is great, close to San Marco Square. The staff was polite, helpful and attentive AND the free breakfast (which was not advertised at the time of my booking) was a nice continental spread. My only complaint was the bedding, the mattress was hard as cardboard and the pillows were the same. The staff provided extra pillows on our request, but more of the same stock. However, after speaking with three other travelers in the airport (we were all bumped from our flight), they had the same experience with their hotels. I would go back to this hotel, but bring my own pillow.

This hotel doesn't look quite so smart "in the flesh" as it does on the pictures but everything is clean and comfortable, breakfast is excellent with a big choice and the staff are friendly and generally helpful. The big disadvantage is the location, which is quite pleasant and quiet but the additional long walk is very unwelcome after what is typically a very tiring day in a crowded city. Worth getting an ACTV pass just for the "commute" as the Sant'Elena stop is very close by.

very clean, quiet and nice but far away the Plaza San Marcos (located in a residencial place). If you need a very quiet and resting place you must take this hotel

We were in Venice to take photographs but it rained five days out of seven. However, our room (in a separate building, round the corner from the main hotel) was very spacious (more like a suite). It had its own safe and fridge with mini-bar. The breakfast buffet offered a wide choice of tasty fresh food. The staff were all very helpful and efficient. The hotel is very centrally located but in a quiet location, apart from the passing gondoliers (but then you are in Venice). The only facility missing in the room was a means of making tea or coffee (take your own). The bathroom was fitted with excellent contemporary facilities. We would choose this hotel again.

The hotel is lovely, the position also. The rooms are very nice, the bathrooms also. The staff is not very friendly. They tried to give us a single room instead of a double room and also for breakfast they wanted us to eat in seperate tables, quite upsetting.

Le cadre est superbe comme les chambres! Mais l'accueil laisse plus qu'a désirer! Je me suis faite une entorse, et impossible de trouver un médecin, aucune aide du personnel à l'accueil! Pareil pour les visites, conseils... n'attendez rien du personnel, ils sont blasés des touristes, et nous ne sommes que des touristes!!

The hotel Scandanavia is in quiet lovely square just moments away from the hustle & bustle right between the Rialto and San Marco. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room very clean and comfortable with great modern bathroom. Only downside lots of stairs and no lift! Though they carry your bags up for you. We loved Venice!

El hotel es muy caro para lo que ofrece: un desayuno buffet escaso y malo, camas demasiado duras y estrechas y escasa información de la ciudad. El personal de recepción fue encantandor.

Nos avons séjourné 2 jours dans cet hôtel L'accueil a été formidable Le patron parle parfaitement français, très à l'écoute de nos demandes le personnel est charmant Nous étions installés dans une chambre donnant dans la cour intérieure de l'hôtel Très calme et confortable l'hôtel est idéalement situé tout près du rialto et de la place saint marc le déjeuner à volonté presque parfait En effet le café est un peu plat à mon goût en résumé je vous recommande cet hôtel

We had a lovely stay at the Metropole. If we weren't in Venice we would have never had to leave the hotel! The staff was professional, knowledgeable and kind. The location was perfect and the bar and garden eating areas were very charming! Our room was a little on the small side but we weren't there much. It was a great value!

Date de séjour janvier 2012. Hôtel et personnel accueillants dans le style de Venise. Chambre tous conforts. Petit-déj parfait. La chambre est faite dès votre sortie de l'hôtel, 2 à 3 fois par jour ! Accès bateaux juste devant et belle vue sur la lagune. Je recommande.

Hôtel bien situé à 10 minutes de la place Saint Marc. La chambre, le petit déjeuner, le personnel, tout était parfait. Seul bémol : l'eau chaude met beaucoup de temps à arriver .

Très bon accueil de la part de toute l'équipe qui reste à notre disposition 24h/24. L'hôtel est situé dans un quartier calme, à 5mn de l'effervescence de la place Saint Marc et qui donne un accès très facile aux vaporettos. La chambre était confortable et très propre. Le petit déjeuner buffet copieux et varié. Je le recommande à tous les visiteurs et explorateurs de cette superbe ville.

Just steps from the water bus stops, St Mark's Square and all a tourist would want in a hotel location. The staff is friendly and helps those struggling with Italian. Breakfast is good but does get tiring after a few days- my favorites were the fresh bread and ability to make my own soft-boiled egg. The welcoming fruit basket and espresso were fantastic. Special attention on my birthday was appreciated. Housekeeping not consistant..when good it was fabulous. Other times ho hum (they didn't notice when the TP was down to it's last few sheets). The resturant is small but nice, with a spectacular view. Pricey but worth it. Don't forget to ask for the free water taxi to Murano and the private glass factory tour.

We stayed in Rome, Florence and Venice. This hotel was our favorite. Formerly the home of a famous composer. The rooms were elegant although not large by American standards. The staff was very friendly, courteous, and helpful. Beautiful courtyard garden with a real Rennaisance feel. Although not cheap, it was the least expencive of the three hotels we stayed at.

Accueil agréable et très attentionné. Personnel à disposition et très serviable. Situation de l'hôtel très agréable, dans une rue calme, à moins de 8 minutes à pied de la place Saint-Marc. Deux stations de Vaporetto à proximité (ARSENALE et GIARDINI), bien desservies. Seul bémol : Lit un peu dur.

Bon hôtel situé juste après la place Saint Marc (environ 5 minutes à pied), avec une "station" de vaporetto à 1 minute. Au calme, avec un personnel toujours disponible.

Casa Verardo was a great little hotel in the heart of the action in Venice. We had a lovely time and enjoyed soaking up the history beside one of the wondrous canals.

A deux pas de la place Saint Marc, un hôtel "Casa d'época" très bien aménagé, dans un style impeccable. Prestations de très grandes qualité, l'endroit est véritablement charmant (un petit patio intérieur, une salle de déjeuner cossue, ...). Rien à redire, un véritable bon plan pour passer quelques jours à Venise !

The people at this hotel are terrible. They canceled my reservation one week before carnevale claiming that my credit card was declined and wouldn't accept another card from me or even take my calls. If you find a good deal at this hotel don't make a reservation because if they can book your room for a higher rate they will cancel your reservation and leave you stranded.

We stayed 2 nights, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms were spacious and breakfast in the morning was a nice touch. Travelers should be aware that the "hotel" is at more than one location, all close by. We were a little unsure of how to find the address we were given, and once we arrived, we had to backtrack to the actual location where our rooms were. A little inconvenient, but worth the trouble.

This hotel is well located within easy walking distance to Piazza San Marco and the Rialto bridge is just a few blocks away. I booked this hotel because of the on-line reviews I read, the location, and because of the price. When you arrive at the hotel main entrance door there are two flights of stairs up to the hotel check area. This was not a problem for us, but for someone who has mobility issues it could be a problem. We were checked in quickly and went to our room. It was up another flight of stairs, again it was not a problem for us, but if you have mobility issues it could be a problem. The room we were given was by far the largest of the five hotels we stayed at in Europe. There was a large bedroom with a queen size bed, a second long narrow room with a small kitchen that included a cooktop, sink and refrigerator next to that a table for two or three, a couch, fold away bed, a desk, and a huge bathroom. Everything was neat and orderly but the room was very warm. The windows were open and the two air conditioning units were running but were not blowing cold air. We thought that maybe the room had been closed up for a while and maybe they were just letting in some fresh air. We closed the windows and went out sightseeing. We returned very late and the room was still very hot. We were tired so we just dealt with it. The next morning we told the person at the desk and he said he would call someone to take a look at it. By the time we returned from sightseeing the air conditioning was working perfectly. We really appreciated how quickly this concern was addressed and it shows they really care about their guests. The continental breakfast consisted of a pot of coffee, blood orange juice, a croissant, a roll, packages of cookies, toasts, honey, jams, and jellies. The croissants were incredibly good and the coffee was excellent. We had breakfast in our room twice which really made us feel spoiled. Everyone we encountered at this inn was very friendly
