Beautiful hotel and rooms!
The hotel and rooms are gorgeous! The staff is courteous and helpful with restaurant tips and arranging tour to Murano for a glass factory tour. Easy walk or water bus ride from train station and San Marcos/Rialto areas. Take a good map as it is easy to get lost in Venice with all the canals. It is a beautiful city!

Very Nice Hotel easy to find but off the beaten path
I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Venice. It's not in the main touristy areas which makes it nice and quiet. At the same time it is in relatively close walking distance to all the sights, and it has a museum next door which makes it easier to find (follow the signs for the museum). The hotel has that great mix of classic charm and updated amenities.

Good Location and spacious, beautiful room
We spent 2 weeks in Italy and finished our vacation with a 2 night stay at Duca Di Venezia. It was by far the best hotel of our trip and also the most expensive. The room is decorated to perfection and the bathroom is all newly done. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were hard for our standars of feather pillows. Breakfast was no different from all the other hotels in Italy, but it does not start until 8 am so if you have an early departure as we did, you will leave without breakfast. They agreed to make us coffee after we asked. Still was a great end to our 2 weeks in Italy.

Short walk from hotel
Alaska gelato is some of the best in the city. It is between the hotel and the train station. Make the effort to look for restaurants away fro the tourist sights. Every meal we had was delicious. Be prepared to pay a premium if you want to dine along the Grand Canal.

Great place to ease into Venice
The Al Duce Di Venizia was a great place to start out trip. We stayed in Venice three days to acclimate and wait for our luggage (one came, one didn't), but there are certainly worse places in the world to cool your heels. The hotel itself was very elegant, the rooms were a nice size, the shower had good pressure, the heat was adjustable, the breakfast was tasty, the wifi was free, the neighborhood was quiet, the staff was helpful (all spoke English quite well). After walking around the city for hours it was so nice to come back to the room and relax before heading back out again. I would definitely stay there again.
