The Hotel La Fenice et des Artistes, close to the well-known "Teatro La Fenice", has been for more than a century the preferred hotel of artists and people looking for the typical atmosphere characterizing the "hotels de charme". The extremely bright entrance is in the form of a triangle connecting the original building on the left with the newly-built wing on the right. All guest rooms are different from one another, each with its own specific charm, but all in a typical Venetian style. They all have private bathroom, with either a tub or a shower, hairdryer, direct dial phone line, Sat TV and safe. The restaurant "La Taverna", which Gabriele D'Annunzio first called after this name, is one of the most elegant Citys restaurants and is part of the hotel building. This allows our guests to take advantage of the restaurant and benefit from special prices. The position of the Hotel La Fenice et des Artistes is extremely privileged: it is a real house in the middle of the city which is nevertheless located away from mass tourist circuits; it represents a unique chance for a pleasant and relaxing stay. A tax has been imposed by the city for stays beginning 1 October 2012, and will be collected directly at the property. The tax ranges from EUR 1 to EUR 5 per person, per night. Very quaint and cozy

Great friendly staff and super location but be aware you will awake early to the loud church bells nearby from San Marcos Square area...great restaurants in the area very nearby. Easy to get to the Grand Canal - 5 min walk. Easy walk from the Rialto Bridge. Large rooms, a bit thin on the walls but quiet after 10 pm. Nice, simple breakfast service daily.

Nice Hotel!

The hotel is in a great location. Essentially in the heart of Venice. St. Marks Square is only about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The room was more than adequate and the bathroom is modern. The room decor could use some updating, but remember, this is not a modern city. The continental breakfast was very good, not sure what others were complaining about in their reviews. I would stay there again!

Sweet deal

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the hotel given how little I paid for the room versus other hotels in the San Marco area. Breakfast was average, service was good, room was okay-I've seen better and I've seen worse. Great location close to everything, but just beyond the mass of tourists. Don't expect to be wowed by the rooms, but I was very pleased with my stay.

Hyvä kaikin puolin

Hotelli oli siisti ja rauhallinen, sai nukuttua hyvin. Sijainti erinomainen, lähellä San Marcon aukiota ja muita nähtävyyksiä. Aamupala myös ok, vaikkakaan ei kovin runsas. Suosittelen :)

Kurzurlaub mit Freunden

Fast 5 Sterne. Frühstücksbuffet Auswahl dürfte etwas reichhaltiger sein. Trotz warmen Wetter wurde geheizt. Radiator konnte nicht abgestellt werden. Wasserhähne dürften mal entkalkt werden, kurz mit dem Fingernagel über die Düsen fahren - nun funktionierst wieder. Würde hier immer wieder absteigen. Viele kleine super Restaurants in unmittelbarere Nähe. Augen auf - es lohnt sich

Loistava paikka, kaikki muu vähän niin ja näin

Hotellin sijainti loistava, lähellä kaikkea ja kuitenkin täysin omassa rauhassaan. Perinteet "tuoksuvat" ja näkyvät, tunnelma oli mainio. Huoneemme oli aivan ylimmässä 4. kerroksen "yläkerroksessa". Superhitaalla hissillä pääsi vain pari kerrosta. Karttuipa ikääntyvän pariskunnan (67,66) kunto! Näköalana oli vastapäinen seinä. Vaatekaappi sievä, sänkykin hyvä. Kylpyhuoneen suihkusta sai vettä vain pisaroina. Aaamupala oli surkea: automaattikahvi ja höttöiset sämpylät, croisantteja vain makeiden päällysten kera. Henkilökunta oli ihan avuliasta, mutta vähän hymyilläkin voisi. Mutta itse Venetsia oli yhtä loistava kuin aina ennenkin(tämä oli 7. matkamme).

Trattoria Fenice. Hotellin ja oopperan välissä. Loistava ruoka ja palvelu. Madonna. (Rialton sillan lähellä, Calle Madonna). Aito, elävä, venetsialainen paikka. Hyvä tunnelma. Ruoka erinomaista, varsinkin kalaruoat.

Venise en mars

Nous avons passé 6 nuits à l'Hôtel de Fenice en Mars 2013 la propreté et environnement nous a plus beaucoup. Seule bémol la taxe de séjour qui nous a étais annoncé le jour de départ.

Sentralt, men slitt

Sentralt beliggende, hyggelig betjening, god pris på internett. Nedslitt stil. Toalletet skranglete, dusjen lite regulerbar. Dårlig belysning på rommet. Liten og dysfunksjonell TV. Lite tilbud i minibaren. Operaen La Fenice (strålende) er rundt hjørnet. flere gode restauranter like i nærheten. Man må skrive ut veibeskrivelsen og ha et godt kart for å finne hotellet.
