The Hotel Meridiana, in Venice, was built by Giuseppe Tramontin in the early 30's. It is named after the large sun dial on its fa‡ade, not just artistically captivating but also practical for all those passers-by on their way to or from the beach: very few owned watches at that time.Although initially classified as an "inn", it immediately became an above average tourist structure. At that time it had 35 rooms.

Pleasant hideout away from Venice crowds

Our room was small but I gather that others are larger, and it had a balcony overlooking the pleasant location. Breakfasts were quite satisfactory.

charming, compact, friendly traditional

charming, compact, friendly traditional small hotel in a nice quiet location close to the beach, and convenient bus stops, with kind and attentive service. So pleased that i extended my stay by three extra nights.

Great little character hotel set

Great little character hotel set in quite location 10 mins to bus, beach and 20 min to warer taxi. Very clean and helpfull staff, free wi-fi and good breakfast included. I would stay at this hotel again.

nice and close to the beach. would

nice and close to the beach. would have been nice if there was some fruit included in breakfast. Not to far from the water taxis

Charming hotel in a quiet nice

Charming hotel in a quiet nice area on Lido outside Venice. It is not the place to enjoy top luxury but excellent for a romantic weekend or week at the seaside. We appreciated the many table and chairs available in the garden, but why on earth were we not allowed to bring the breakfast with us outdoor? However, we will return.

Hôtel de caractère, très agréable,

Hôtel de caractère, très agréable, buffet généreux le matin. Situé sur le Lido à 150 m de la plage, ce qui nous intéressait peu pour un début novembre pluvieux, mais si on veut visiter Venise et que l'on n'a pas peur du petit 1/4 d'heure de marche entre les villas jusqu'à l'embarcadère, c'est parfait : calme et prix (à cette période c'était 55 pour chambre double à 2 lits) introuvables dans Venise même. Et les 10 min de traversée vers la place St Marc font partie du plaisir.

hotel avec du cachet, personnel

hotel avec du cachet, personnel acceuillant et disponible. Chambre pour 4 pesronnes un peu encombrée mais néanmoins chaleureuse avec un air de comme à la maison. La baignoire à ravi mon fils de 6 ans. Petit jardin et terrasse appréciable. Petit déjeuné correct . Très bon rapport qualité prix.

Hotel is in Lido island! I stay

Hotel is in Lido island! I stay there for 2 days, good for lesure and relax. Close to beach, but need 15 min walk to port. I go there with my vehicle by ferry which charge around 40 euro. I think is cheaper than park at Venice(each day for 20 euro) and feel more comfortable. Recommend to stay there, if you have enough time!

Kleines, gepflegtes und ruhiges

Kleines, gepflegtes und ruhiges Hotel in Strandnähe, zur Hauptstraße (Viale S.M.Elisabetta) etwa 10 Minuten zu Fuß, zum Bootsanleger etwa 15 Minuten. Zimmer sind geräumig und modernisiert. Das Frühstück ist in Ordnung, der Kaffee allerdings etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, daher trank ich Tee und nahm einen Espresso später irgendwo in einer Bar. Die Via Lepanto ist eine Seitenstraße der Hauptstrasse und beginnt etwa gegenüber vom Billa/Oviesse Geschäft, diese Straße dann bis zum Ende durchgehen und schon ist man da. Ich würde dieses Hotel wieder buchen.
