Rooms are pervaded by a mysterious and somewhat oriental allure, with burning incense spreading a delicate fragrance. Service is prompt and elegant. The picture is completed by a splendid Citrus Garden with exotic palms and a sixteenth century well, the perfect backdrop for your evening meal.
AN ATMOSPHERE that is suggestive and seductive, is created by means of a profusion of perfumed candles and subtle incenses. PRECIOUS FABRICS of different periods and of great beauty decorate the hotel's salons and every bedroom, contributing the Metropole's unique style.. The hotel also offers Dry cleaning, Lobby, Reception and Smoke-free hotel.
A tax has been imposed by the city for stays beginning 1 October 2012, and will be collected directly at the property. The tax ranges from EUR 1 to EUR 5 per person, per night. The amount has been determined by the local administration, depends on the star rating of hotel and the season of travel. This tax does not apply from the 6th consecutive night of stay onwards, to residents of Venice City and children under 10 years of age. Please note that further exemptions may apply. Being my second visit I knew it was a very high standard with a perfect location since a colleague whom lives on the Lido recommended the hotel first time around. A cheaper and simpler breakfast would have been good, the one offering at 28 Euro is over the top when all you want is Coffee, Cornflakes and a Ham Roll to start the day.Not everyone wants an American style spread.

Location, value and staff helpfulness....doen't get better than this!
We had a lovely stay at the Metropole. If we weren't in Venice we would have never had to leave the hotel! The staff was professional, knowledgeable and kind. The location was perfect and the bar and garden eating areas were very charming! Our room was a little on the small side but we weren't there much. It was a great value!

Awesome, classy, interesting, romantic
Wish I could have been there longer. Super convenient to the water taxi's, and short walk to St. Mark's square. The staff was very responsive to requests.

Two Night Stay in Venice
The Hotel was nicely appointed and comfortable. As Venice goes, it was a nice accomodation. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel is very centrally situated. Further, the rooms were quiet.

Très bon hotel
Hotel vraiment bien avec une décoration qui colle vraiment bien à la ville (des fois un peu chargée à notre goût).Le personnel est vraiment très accueillent et à l'écoute. Nous avons déjeuné deux fois au bar, c'était très correct et très bon. Si je retourne à venise un jour, je n'hésiterai pas à réserver à nouveau dans cette établissement.

Bel hotel
Très bon séjour, nous avons regretté que le petit dej ne soit pas compris, 28€ par pers, ns avons donc trouve un salon de thé pas trop loin mais c'etait ennuyeux qd meme. Sinon, le restaurant était très cher, le menu du 31 décembre à 470€ par pers !!!! Nous n'avons donc jamais mangé dans l'établissement. Rien a dire sur l'hôtel qui est parfait.

hôtel classe
Date de séjour janvier 2012. Hôtel et personnel accueillants dans le style de Venise. Chambre tous conforts. Petit-déj parfait. La chambre est faite dès votre sortie de l'hôtel, 2 à 3 fois par jour ! Accès bateaux juste devant et belle vue sur la lagune. Je recommande.
