Nazionale Hotel Venice

The location is great for travel. It is near two water bus stops, the Aliguna, from the Marco Airport 13 Euros one way. You can get off of Guglie or Ferrovia. It is also just few hundred yards from the St Lucia train station. You have to do some walking to get to Rialto or Accaddemia. If you have a lot of luggage, there are a lot of stairs to the front desk with no elevator. Demand a bell hop to take your stuff up for you, don't break your back!

Hotel Nazionale is located centrally, 3 blocks over a foot bridge from the Grand Canal, on a narrow street not accessible by land vehicle, but near the water taxi service from the airport (Euro 13). The lobby is 21 steps up from the street;need a porter to help with bags. My room was down a long narrow hallway with two turns. The window overlooked a central court. Unfortunately I awoke with 8-10 nasty bedbug bites.

No elevator if you have luggares, don't stay there, No wi-fi in the room, small room, a lot mosquitoes if opening the wintow. no coffee maker.

Room was of a reasonable size and generally clean, although plagued by mosquitoes. We saw and killed 3 or 4 each evening in the room, without having the window open and were bitten numerous times in the room. The bathroom was a plastic, portable unit inserted into the corner of the room. It was tiny, mouldy and very unpleasant to use. The shower was in the corner of the unit and was so small that the shower curtain would often stick to the back during the shower and the water in any case soaked the room and toilet paper. Each morning there were also insects crawling around the plug hole. A horrible experience.

This was my fourth trip to Europe and 2nd time to Italy. The Hotel was a great location for a great price! It was within very easy walking distance from the Piazzale Roma and the train station and there is a water bus (vaporetto) right nearby. The staff was very friendly and helpful! They spoke english and were very kind. Breakfast was the usual cereal, yogurt, meats, cheeses, croissants and rolls. I would book a stay here if you are looking for a reasonable priced hotel in a great location. Yes the rooms and bathrooms are small, but nothing unlike the rest of European Hotels.

good location but hard get to with luggage (you have to cross enormus stepped foot bridge while carrying luggage). although hotel has lift, you have to walk up one and one half stories to get to lobby. breakfast was so so. They charge for Wi Fi.

1.The location of hotel is perfect. You don't have to drag your luggage too far. 2. Breakfast was fairly good. 3. There quite numbers of halal food outlets available in venice city. Quite convenient for muslim travellers. I managed to find four. 4. Overall the holiday was perfect.

Hotel was very convenience located near the train station, free breakfast every morning was great.

Good overall. The towel hanger was too high for me to reach. I had to use a stool to put the towels back. I am glad they had the stool. Perhaps others have complained as well. It was tough going up the first flight since they only had stairs. I had to leave my suitcase downstairs while I asked for help. The breakfast was descent. The room was quiet, which is very important to me. The staff were very helpful.

The room was very dark. The window was in a corner of the room opposite a wardrobe. This made it difficult to access the wardrobe or the window. Even with the lace curtains drawn back, it was still too dark in the room. The lights were inadequate making it difficult to read. There was an extra bed in the room making the room smaller than necessary. The hotel's location is very good, although could have done without the steep stairs to access the entrance & exit.
