For the $176 dollars i paid per night i expected more. Like cutlery that went with the kitchen, more than two plates and cups. There were ants in the bathroom door and cockroaches on the ground. The room service ladies were the best!!! They did a lovely job cleaning our room and being friendly to my son and I.

Disappointed
The staff was friendly and very apologetic about running out of water but no compensation was given. This was my first trip to Jamaica (we were in Jamaica because my father-in-law passed away and we didn't want to burden family members (there were other family members from out of the country who were already staying at the home of our family). Because of no water (my husband is a diabetic) we were not able to get our complementary breakfast on the last day of our stay (Sunday). Because of no water, my husband could not take his medication. We had to go to a gas station to get juice and a snack so that he could take his medication. We had no water for more than 24 hours, so we checked out dirty. I'm glad that I packed some wet wipes because that is how we washed up Sunday morning (last day of our stay). Right before we checked out, the water truck arrived but we still could not bathe because the water was cold. We were able however, to finally flush the toilet before we checked out, so we didn't leave any "presents". The food that was available was good but most of the items on the menu were not available.

Good for the money
Staff was friendly, they were accommodating with our wishes. Only issue is I called ahead to make sure my husband and I would have a King Bed. I was assured I would, upon check in we had two full beds and were told to get creative and push them together. Other than that, good location and good value with the breakfast.

WORST VACATION OF MY LIFE
LAZY AND UNHELPFUL STAFF NOT TO MENTION TOTALLY CORRUPT AND MONEY THIRSTY TAXI DRIVERS THAT LIE ABOUT THEIR RATES AND THEN CHARGE YOU SOMETHING ELSE WHEN YOU ARRIVE. SORRY, BUT NEVER AGAIN IN MY LIFE WILL I EVER VISIT THAT GOD FORSAKEN ISLAND CALLED JAMAICA. NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVER.

I never stayed here but was charged!
I arrived in Jamaica and found that I had been booked by the government in a different hotel. I called Orbitz and explaained, asking to cancel. They asked me to call back the next day and I did. I was put on hold, transferred to a client site and then left a message. I was very disappointed to see that my creit card was charged.I have tried calling Orbitz on this but have had no success

The hotel itself was great. The hotel which was not close to airport, and no shuttle,and the room definately was not worth the money,but it was nice!

My review of Christar Villas
Christar Villa, in Kingston, Jamaica offers a picturesque view of the mountain of St. Andrew. The surroundings were very clean and quiet. Christar Villa is located close to the night spots of New Kingston. It is very quiet place to stay. I must commend the housekeeping staff. They are doing a great job. Actually all the workers were courteous and friendly. Another feature about the villa is that it had a nice little kitchen area with amenities. We could cook if we felt like it. My wife and I enjoyed our three days stay there.
