great retirement vacation
It was a great experience. i loved where our room was located , right in the middle of all that beautiful scenery, the trees, the pool and the water. It was peaceful. i also loved the balcony because it was facing the pool & the entrance to the hotel, watching all the people go by. thanks for a wonderful vacation

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
a la carte restaurants are the way to go for dinner! just make sure to ether get there early or a bit later as they do get crowded around 7 or 7:30, and they go by a first come, first server basis.

YOU COULDN'T PAY ME TO RETURN
My husband and I traveled to this resort and stayed from April 28th-May 5th 2012, and we couldn't wait to leave. The staff at the receptions desk was very rude and not helpful at all, they acted as if we were bothering them when we had to ask for something. The food on the buffett was cold and very tasteless. It took us as long as 10-15 minutes just to get someone to bring us some water. It was hard to get towels and wash cloths. We booked a bungalow suite over looking the beach and ended up in a room looking at some bushes due to our room being flooded because of heavy rain. Once the rain finally stopped they gave our room to someone else instead of offering it back to us. When they insisted that the room would be closed down and repaired. This was the worst, we will NEVER go back to the Grand Palladium..there was nothing GRAND about it at all!!! We love Jamaica and plan to return but you coldn't pay us to return here.

Beautiful Facility, Average Staff
Booked the Grand Palladium for a quick weekend getaway. Facility was amazing. Rooms exactly what I expected, pool was great. Rained more than I may have liked, but not something I'd blame on the hotel! Staff just wasn't that friendly. Other reviewers mentioned, oftentimes I really felt like I was bothering them. Staff at checkin was atrotious, my room wasn't ready so they sent me to eat, then when I returned for my key they pretty much ignored me. I'm OK the room wasn't done, but I was just standing there waiting at the counter while everyone refused to make eye contact. Rest of the staff throughout the hotel was OK, but not as warm and friendly as other resorts I've stayed at in Jamaica.

FAMILY VACATION TO JAMAICA
Hotel is nice, huge rooms with balcony. Food is good, but nothing extraordinary in the buffet. Restaurants (4) are very nice and they prepared food with love and care, it was nice surprise. Drinks in the piano bar are good, but not in the pool or near the beach. We have stayed and visited seven resorts prior of the Palladium Jamaica and I can tell you it's a good value for your money. The only negatives are the beach, I whish it would be like Negril beach than it would be perfect all around.

Not Applicable
I'd recommend to visit Negril beach from 8:00AM - 1:00PM, after gets a bit crouded, and it's only 35-40 min. drive. Dun River is nice, but I'd not do it again only because it's over 2 hrs drive both way. Expect to give lots of tips for service, afterall it's Jamaica not a French Riviera.

Good Spring break getaway
We went with a group of eight and had a lot of fun... The only problem it would have to be service at the restaurants, the waiters tend to be very slow and would sometimes ignore you.... But the hotel itself was beautiful and very clean with lots of activities.

Grand Palladium needs work on customer service
Jamaica is beautiful and the beaches and the resort are very pretty. The girls that play games around the pool and teach dances to the kids were wonderful and so sweet to my children. Had a few people who worked at the resort go out of their way to make us feel welcomed but very few! If you have a large group they should allow you to make reservations for dinner and then they should smile and be polite, not rude. The overall feeling we got at Grand Palladium was that we were putting them out by being there. I do not recommend this resort if you are traveling with a group larger than four people bc eating dinner anywhere besides the buffets takes hours bf you get seated and one waitress at the steak restaurant was very rude to us and to the children. Most of the staff around the pool area were very nice and happy to be there. But I saw very few employees in the other areas of the resort that seemed happy and willing to help. We felt like we were bothering them when we asked any questions or for help with anything.

Has Potential - needs better mgmt, service and options
Staff was friendly, but not helpful. Management was absent is all places. Without reservations, you can not get into any restaurant except for the buffet. Liquor selection was absolutely terrible!! Waterspouts were all broken and not available. The staff assigned to work with the kids were great!! They saved the trip. We would never return or advise friends to visit.
