Good Value- Great People
We came for our second stay at Bar B Barn because we love the beauty of the location and enjoy the people that work there. Hope is a fantastic server/bartender who makes you feel right at home. Cherise does a great job too, Our room was always very clean. The main concern we had was that they were operating with minimal staff as it the off season in Jamaica. This meant there was no security guard present during the day this time- this led to spending a lot of time being hassled to purchase everything from boat trips to ganga. After a week, it became pretty tiring. We would return but not likely on the off season because of this.

Short walk from hotel
Go to the grocery store called the Hi Lo. There are 2- one is for tourists and one for locals. Go to the one for locals! The prices are better and you can get great deals on Blue Mountain Coffee and spices.

One problem after I paid for a package deal they tried to make me pay for an extra person. Wasted to much time on tryiny to sort this out. i blame orbitz for not putting all this in writing as i requested. Used my $ phine to try and straighten out. Internet only works at office sometimes. I would go back if i have in writing everything from Orbitz Loved jamaica

Go to the office of Nature fresh lobster tail on the grill. Donot be afriad . and dance all night long. Go to the lighthouse

"Unbeatable location for the price"
It had a wonderful welcoming family run atmosphere and I was surprised breakfast was included in the hotel fee. The bar was enjoyable, the access to the beach nice and easy and the staff were friendly.

In Hotel
If you talk with the locals, they can steer you to affordable recreational locations. Even the shuttle transport back to Mobay was arranged for me upon request by the hotel and it was very affordable at 30USD pp for a private shuttle.

Hotel was located right on Negril' beautiful beach. Rooms were so and so, beds were awful, food was good and staff was awesome but the big downsize was that there was no security on the beach. Not because the place it's not safe but because of the constant harassment from the local beach sellers.. Literally you could not lay on the beach for more than five minutes and here we go... Somebody trying to sell yousomething! I have travelled quite a bit...even in more depressed areas but this was by far theworst. Maybe it was because being low season there were only a handful of turists and you would run into every seller on the beach. Definitely will go back to jamaica, it's a beautiful island but would probably choose a different location, less touristy..

the room was small,not enough towels or chairs for the beach. the hotel tried telling us we owed another 120 dollars until we showed our confirmation from [...].lhave been to negril 9 times and this is by far the worst place i have stayed.

Good Stay
Clean property with nice staff. Very basic but I would stay there again. Rates are inexpensive so you couldn't expect more. Complimentary breakfast was very tasty. It was great waking up to our free Jamaican breakfast.

"Great little hotel, great people"
It was a great trip! The hotel staff is wonderful and friendly. The beach is perfect and many people from the eastern part of the Island come here for vacaations. You will not be dissapointed in the food and especially the Italian food and the best pizza ever!

Everything is very close, not expensive, there is a small store with anything you need just around the corner and even a bank within a block.
