Clean, Great Location
Stayed here for 10 days and it was nice. Not a 5 star hotel but reasonable price and good clean room. Linens and towels were changed everyday, bathroom cleaned and our floors were swept and mopped everyday too. I left a $2.00 tip for the maid everyday, $5 last day. Ask for a second floor room and you get a huge vaulted ceiling. AC worked very good. 19" TV but we had Starz and 3 other movie channels, networks and news. Most rooms have a balcony or porch, we sat on our porch and played spades when it rained. Nice staff and great location on the beach. There has been some beach erosion since our last visit to Negril. Their beach is small but we had chairs everyday 2 feet from the water and 30 feet from the hotel. Get your chairs early, they have 2 palm shade huts on the beach. The waves lap against the steps in front of the restaurant while you eat or drink your Red Stripe or rum at their bar. Everyone from the all inclusives walk by Foot Prints, alot of people watching. Get the fresh fruit smoothies for $3.00 at the bar, melon and the banana pineapple were best. Ask about the price before you order! Take a float if you like floating, we buy the cheap Wal Mart ones and give them away when we leave.I had a $50.00 one hour massage in the grassy area between the building near the beach, I recommend it, it was great. If you like beach walking, Negril is the place and Foot Prints is right in the middle of 7 mile beach! The Jamaican vendors on the beach are nice people and just trying to make a living, we always buy at least 2 -3 souvenier towels etc. to help them out. If you don't want to buy just say "no thanks man" and they will usually leave you alone.

Short walk from hotel
We ate at the hotel restaurant several times, but also dined at Sheretas about 50 yards down the beach. Good reasonable breakfast and lunch. We walked to Ozzies accross the street for jerk chicken several times and ate patties from the patty man on his bike "he has the best patties" and from the patty shack next to Sea Splash hotel a little further than Sheretas. Margaritaville is a little further if you want a cheeseburger, $13.95. There is also a small store directly accross the road from the hotel. We always ask the taxi driver to stop on the way and buy our Appleton rum for $10.00 a bottle, it's $20 at the store. I mix it with Tropicana fruit punch, $2.50 for a 2 liter. You can but a bottle of fresh cold fruit juice from the juice guy on the beach everyday for $4 - $5, worth it. I get orange.Go to Vern's fruit stand on the beach for fresh fruit, she will cut it and bag it for you ready to eat. Only a short walk left of the hotel, you may see some fruits you have never heard of before. She is very nice and is supporting 8 kids, we take gifts to her and her kids every visit. Not there on Sunday, she's in church.

Great value with kitchenette!
We reserved 2 kitchenette rooms which were a very nice size with 2 double beds each. 1 room was directly oceanfront room H7, had a great view and nice size balcony. Hotel also has a convenience store across the street. The staff was great and very accomodating.

Never again!
I would not recommend this hotel to anybody. They were still checking the room at 7pm. This hotel has not been up dated since it was built in the 80's. The room were dirty and uncomfortable. Spent as little time in the room as necessary. Some of the staff were very helpful, some were dishonest. The only good thing iwas the location.

Paradise Found !!!!
The staff here are wonderful- I have stayed twice, and each time it is like a welcoming party when you arrive. The second time they even remembered me by name. This hotel truly makes you feel as if you have a safe, secure, friendly and gorgeous place to return to time and time again. The restaurant is attached, food is around $10 USD per meal and very good. The beach is empty during the slow season- you could never wish for anything more than a private beach in the Caribbean! I am a female that travels alone, and I am confidant that this is a very safe place to travel.

"Cosy mid range close to the water"
This was an average mid range beach room. What I liked the best was the included small refergiter & microwave in the room & the restaurnat where your table could be 6 feet from the lapping waves, great at sunset.

A Decent Place
This is a reasonable two-star hotel with very helpful staff. It has an excellent location on Negril Beach with some nearby shops. It is an older hotel, but the room was clean and had a pleasant balcony from which one could often sniff an aromatic smoke odor.

No frills but friendly
We have stayed at Foote Prints several times. This year the rooms had been spruced up with new fabrics, complimentary welcome beverage at the beach bar, even WiFi! We get what we want here - quiet, friendly, unobtrusive employees; great beach with good chairs; very accommodating people. If you want loud & crazy this isn't it. This is peace!

We love to walk north to Cosmos beach restaurant. This year Foote Prints offered an in room refrigerator for $5 per day. There is a small convenience store across the road so we could keep snacks in our room.

Watch out
Watch Out
So the good news first. The hotel is older but clean, and with modest features. It was well located and generally staffed by nice and friendly people. The beach was clean and the gardens very pretty and well-attended. The front desk staff were helpful except as noted below. So the difficult news is that we were staying on the second floor and were awakened on the second morning there by a man trying to climb onto our patio. I was able to get out onto the deck before he could get fully into our living space and he dropped down and ran off. Bad enough as that was, no one from the hotel ever came and talked to us, made arrangementa to have the security guard moved more onto the area where the rooms were, etc. They wanted to act as if nothing happened. We will not consider going back and anyone with children for sure should be aware. We were very concerned thinking afterwards that sowmone would break in so close to dawn ... Made us think we perhaps avoided a very dangerous circumstance.
