amman vacation
I would rate this hotel as three stars, not four stars. Many of the towels in the bathroom were not white as one would expect in a true four star hotel. Many of the towels were a light gray color and some had stains. Also, the mattresses need to have a mattress fitted sheet to cover the whole mattress, not just a flat sheet to cover the top of the mattress. The bathroom needs better lighting and the bath tub in my room had several breaks in the porcelain. On the positive side, the hotel serves a very good breakfast, and the location is very good to conduct business. Considering the high cost of five star hotels in Jordan and the fact that hotels that are rated as three stars are really two stars, this hotel is a good value.

Money-saving tip:
Not Applicable
Get an Orange Sim Card for your cell phone and ask for a 200 megabite for a week at $2 jd for your internet service on your cell phone. Otherwise the hotel wants to charge you $25.00 jd per day.

Overall excellent
Clean room, good room service, only downside is the expensive charge for internet service(12 JD or around 17$ a day) which one would expect a hotel like this to offer free of charge. Despite that i would defiantly recommend this hotel and go back to it once i go back to Jordan.

Very average hotel
This hotel is looking tired and needs a good clean. The room was average for the price paid. Tablecloths at mealtimes were not clean and the food was again average. Even the corridors needed to be vacuumed.

Great Value for the Money
For the price this is a very nice hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was nothing spectacular - typical hotel buffet but well stocked and the food was delicious. The location is on a very busy road that is about 4 km from the city center so take your walking shoes if you do not wish to hire a taxi. My only complaint was that they charged for the wifi and internet access. A hotel of this quality should offer it complementary. When I must travel to Amman again in three months (in order to secure another Palestinian visa ("compliments" of israel) I will be returniing to the Grand Palace.

Clean, quiet & comfortable
Rooms clean & comfortable, decor dated. Internet cost excessive (1 hr JOD5, 24 hr JOD12, we paid JOD0.75 /hr downtown public). Very safe, baggage scanned on check-in. Hotel is a short cab to downtown.

Sightseeing tip:
In Hotel
Cost of tours & attractions booked by hotel excessive. Go direct or book them on internet beforehand. From airport to hotel, take the bus to town (cost JOD3.0 pp), then catch a cab (they swarm around the bus city depot)

A little dated but the room was
A little dated but the room was very clean and was adequate. Don't expect add-ons like room internet and extra pillows. There was some road noise in the room but not loud enough to affect sleeping.
