The BEST WESTERN Hotel International **** in Luxembourg offers 70 modern and quiet rooms. The hotel has 45 NON-SMOKING rooms, 46 STANDARD rooms and 23 more spacious AIR rooms with air-conditioning and one SUITE Vauban with a separated living-room. All rooms have mini-bar, safe, writing desk, seating area and the bathrooms have either shower or bathtub with cosmetic mirror and hairdryer. The hotel offers FREE INTERNET ACCESS in all rooms and on the BUSINESS- PC in the lobby for hotel guests. The hotel is located in the city, right opposite to the central railway station and within the shopping area. In front of the hotel is a loading bay for drivers and the hotel has six guarded parking spaces in 250 m from the hotel. Many public parking spaces are next to the hotel. The TGV-train to Paris is leaving right there and takes you from Luxembourg to Paris in just two hours. The financial center and the touristic sites, are within easy 10 minutes walking distance. The EU-district (4 km) and the international airport Findel-Luxembourg (6 km) can easily be accessed by public bus which stops next to the hotel. The hotel has a gastronomic RESTAURANT called 'Am Inter' and offers local Luxembourgish meals and French cuisine. In the BISTRO Inter-Lounge you can order drinks, cocktails and small cold or warm meals from 7.00 - 22.45. The public area as well as the restaurant and bistro are non-smoking areas. BREAKFAST is served as a BUFFET with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, boiled eggs, yogurts, fruit salad, cornflakes, muesli, seeds, rolls, bread, cakes, ham, sausage, turkey, cheese, jam.

I would suggest this hotel to anyone, especially if your primary mode of transportation is the train. Parking a car can be a little confusing as the car-park is a few blocks away.

The bathroom was nice - newly

The bathroom was nice - newly fitted and modern but extremely small. When sitting on the WC your knees hang over the shower tray! The room itself was quite old and dingy. There were holes in the curtains and the carpet and furniture were worn. Free WiFi is advertised on the web but you need to ask at reception for a code to access every 24 hours this which is not explained in the room information. There was no room safe, tea making facilities or air conditioning. The stairways were dingy too but the public areas were better. The staff were helpful. The location was excellent, directly opposite the railway station. Overall not very good value for money

Zentralgelegenes Hotel

Das Hotel liegt gegenüber dem Luxemburger Bahnhof. Trotzdem drang kaum Lärm in die Zimmer ein. Das Komfortzimmer in der sechsten Etage war geräumig, das Badezimmer war zweckmässig. Alles war sauber. Das Frühstück war gut. Ebenfalls die Tagesgerichte (Plat du Jour) waren abends lecker. Die Bedienung war nett - nur nicht pro aktiv tätig. Die Beratungsqualität an der Reception hing sehr mit dem Wissen der entsprechenden Person zusammen.
