The price I paid for the room
The price I paid for the room is very expensive considering that the room is very old. Otherwise I have no other complains.

This trip is not as pleasant as
This trip is not as pleasant as upon check in at late evening, there is no face towel, hand towel and floor mat. There is also no hair dryer and some plugs and lights are also not working in the room we are staying. Housekeeping and room service are really slow.

it's a good getaway resort, not
it's a good getaway resort, not too far from the city, with hotel providing free city shuttle, making going down town for local taste more convenience. hospitality is bit poor, receptionist talks to guest without a smile and not very helpful. swimming pool in Pan Pacific have low maintenance, sharp edge on pool bed, dangerous to be step on.

Our stay at Sutera Harbour Resort
Great service at the Waves pool bar/restaurant. Room was clean and convenient. Consierge service was great. Great access to snorkeling. Information about climbing Mount Kinabalu and other off site tours was limited and what was available was poor or inadequate. There was not an option for a naturalist guide on the mountain climb, we would have been willing to pay double to have this option available. We felt that the availability of Borneo handicrafts at the resort was inadequate.

Due to travel distances, we would suggest staying at the Sutera lodge at Kinabalu Park for part of your stay rather than using daily commutes. Packages offered by Orbitz should consider including this option.

Great hotel, highly recommended!
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we experienced gracious and attentive hospitality such as we have not experienced elsewhere. The attention to detail was simply meticulous. The hotel had a beautiful view. It is situated somewhat out of the centre of town which made it quiet and restful. The complimentary shuttle service to town ran frequently and efficiently making it easy to get into the town centre for meals and shopping. We preferred to eat in town as we found the prices for meals within the resort itself somewhat excessive. My only other complaint is that I had hoped to get some nice (branded) toiletries as you usually do in a 5 class hotel but this was not the case. Really, this was only a small point and our stay was as near to perfect as you could ever get. We would definitely stay there again. We cannot recommend it highly enough.

Short drive from hotel
There are a myriad of dining options within the hotel itself but unless you are preferred to spend a lot of money, don't eat at the hotel. Take the shuttle into town and eat there instead. The breakfast, on the other hand, is out of this world in terms of variety, choice and quality.
