A very good hotel for this price.
A very good hotel for this price. Top location, excellent service, helpful staff, a very friendly atmosphere, good breakfast, check in and check out fast and friendly. The only complaint is a common one for this type of hotel, expensive and non too fast internet. Jon

The room and en suite were huge.
The room and en suite were huge. Although the shower walls had some mould on the grout, all other aspects were excellent. Would stay there again.

Hotel is located just opposite
Hotel is located just opposite a monorail station that will fetch you to nearby food and shopping centres (eg. Bukit Bintang & IMBI) & KL-SIN coach office. All the hotel staff are very helpful, polite and courteous. They make you feel welcomed.

Great service good position monorail just outside thehotel,Rooms a little tired but for the price and service very good would stay there again.Plenty of choice at breakfast,and wonderful staff.

City hotels are all about location
City hotels are all about location and price. Istana offers a very good location, right in Bukit Bintang, 4 minutes from Pavilion and about 10 minutes from Suriya KLCC/Twin Towers. Right opposite is Raya Chulan monorail station, which gives access to public transport throughout KL. Plenty of restaurants right behind the hotel, and a nice bar (Wings) when you leave the hotel to the right. Hotel is big and has an impressive lobby. Check-in was smooth. Room was what I paid for. Deluxe room is a basic/standard room, about 25m2, not very modern, but comfortable with a good bed. Flatscreen, minibar, ironing board, ample space for clothes and safe. Great bathroom with separate shower and bath. Clean, but it could all do with some touching-up and TLC. Breakfast is ok, nothing fancy. Very nice pool area, fitness is a bit scratchy. If you can get a good price its a good choice. Last time I stayed in a club room with lounge access. If you can get a good price for that, it's a definite go.

an excellent hotel very nice roooms
an excellent hotel very nice roooms food very good and very central for all activities. Why in this day and age they wan't to charge for internet acsess is beyond me

This hotel is a delight to stay
This hotel is a delight to stay in.The staff were very friendly and helpful.Service was prompt and all very willing to help. Location is excellent and 15 minutes walk away from the Patronas towers and close to the Pavillion and other shopping centers for shopping. Breakfast has many variety.
