Conveniently located. Staff are friendly and helpful too. Room is cosy and big. However, it requires some maintenance for better stay (water flowing out when showering, thus wet the whole floor). Overall, a good stay :)

We wanted a quick getaway after
We wanted a quick getaway after our wedding, before our main honeymoon to India this coming Jan. I thought Istana will make a perfect choice for our mini honeymoon as i had a good experience before staying at the Istana a couple of years back with my family. This time we had a room at the 17th storey with a nice view. The room was spacious, clean and we really truly enjoyed the spread at the breakfast buffet! The other thing i like is the location of this hotel which is near to Bukit Bintang (BB) wher u can do a lot of shopping but at the same time it is also of a good distance from the crowd at the BB area. Overall i would say it's worth the $$$ i paid to stay at the Istana.

The hotel staff was very friendly
The hotel staff was very friendly and the hotel room was clean. Location of the hotel is strategic, close to lots of nice shopping centre and food. However, on our last day of stay, the hotel deactivated the card before our checkout timing of 12pm which inconveniences us when we went out. Overall the stay was a nice one. I would recommend staying in this hotel

Excellent value for money. Large
Excellent value for money. Large room and toilet, but need to provide more toiletries (they supply bare minimum). Breakfast and food in general is of very good. This was my second visit and will surely visit again. Very good for business travellers.

The hotel is ideally situated
The hotel is ideally situated in KL to walk to many of the main attractions, we stayed in a club room and were upgraded to a club suite on our arrival, the room was huge !! very clean with everything you would need for a wonderful stay. Have to return to take advantage of the wonderful Spa and pool area. The staff on the club floor were extremely friendly and helpful, as were the main lobby staff and waitresses. Our only negative from our stay ................ our car passenger door was very badly dented in the hotel car park ;(

Kind staff, wonderful breakfast!
Stayed for a four-day business trip and was satisfied in overall. Location & staff are all okay. The breakfast was very good. The Room is spacious and clean but needs some repair and polishing, for example, an electric kettle and table. Adding a safe and iron to a room would be required. No wire-less internet access in the room was a big problem.

The PAVILLION(a shopping mall)is in 10-minute walking distance from the hotel. You can find two department stores with international and local brands in there. Also a huge food-court at the G level. Recommended for both dining and shopping.

This hotel is very nice and clean hotel. And location is very strategic with the very competitive rate.All the hotel officers is nice and helfull. I will stay in this hotel again if having chance to visit KL next time

Basement car park need to have more lights. Drain covers in the car park need to be placed properly. Broken tiles on pavement need to be replaced.

The good, the bad, and the really ugly
on arrival it took ages to find our reservation referrence.Despite being a couple and our request they gave us a room with two seperate beds. Next day, our room was changed with a king bed but the key was not working, everytime we had to ask the manager to come and open the door for us. Poor breakfast, not many choice to select from. Shower was leaking water and during our stay, hotel staff just told us they are sorry, but didn't fix the problem
