Sunway Pyramid Hotel at Sunway Resort

My wife and I stayed at the tower hotel for a week while I had business in Sunway. The rooms are nothing too outstanding (the building is showing its age slightly), but very well kept. The staff is generally very cheerful and helpful. The breakfast buffet is quite good, offering a variety of different ethnic cuisines, all fresh and well prepared. And, the pyramid mall (which is accessible through the lobby) is truly a world class shopping experience. The only reasons I did not give the place five stars are 1) it is a bit expensive for what it is, 2) the gym and pool are a bit difficult to get to from the tower (you actually have to go outside and enter through the lobby of the resort hotel next door which is pretty convoluted) and 3) it is a fairly long cab ride to get to any of the sights in KL. If you have a reason to be in or around Sunway though, it is definitely a good place to stay.

Hotel location is perfect for shopping and leisure as shopping mall is just next to the hotel and Sunway Lagoon theme park as well. Overall hotel stay was great except that bath tub stopper malfunction. Staff rectify and fix almost immediately.

Facility is very nice but staffs is not nice.

It is a very nice and clean and modern hotel. It is very convenient as the whole Sunway Resort is very well contain with hotel, shopping mall & theme parks together! The shopping mall has everything that you need - dept stores, shops, food cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, indoor games for kids and ice-skating ring just below. The hotel staff are all very friendly & helpful. In addition, the rooms are really huge. Booked 3 rooms for 7 and it is more than enough. Actually 2 is enough - a sofa that can be used, add an extra bed plus their king size bed can sleep 3. The breakfast is not cheap, so it is better to eat at the mall cafes - macdonald, kfc, old town white coffee cafe are all good breakfast place. The Theme park on the contrary that I read review - is superb. 1 ticket for 3 theme parks is good enough for a family & kids below 15 years. The world longest hanging bridge is really an experience! A must for a family getaway at a low cost & book from internet is best. Mrs Lee, S'pore

Everything in the hotel is fine except when they informed us that the swimming pool is under renovation and we could use the swimming pool at the Sunway Resort & Spa Hotel instead. We find this a bit troublesome and thus didn't use the swimming facilities. We use the In Room Service for Dining and find the food to be of big proportion and value for money. The time taken to serve the food was reasonable however when we called for the In Room Service to collect the tray which we left outside our room. Till we check out the next day the tray is still there.

my children enjoyed the swimming facility that wasn't so clouded with people. The access to the team-park is very convenience too. The hotel is directly link to the Sunway Pyramid shopping mall which we can enter the mall anytime we like.

Very convenient - linked to the huge Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall. Lots of food available. There are also a few 7-11 outside the hotel and other eateries. Guess what?! Euphoria is just next door and admits hotel guests for free. Friendly staff, check-in and out was a breeze. We had a lagoon view room. It's clean and still quite spacious with an extra bed added. Toiletries, bottled water, tea/coffee replenished daily. However, we were not given the daily newspapers. Wonder if it's by request only?? Overall, the stay was great. We had lots of fun! Shop, shop and shop.

The bathroom very clean. The food were delicious and variety. Staffs were friendly and helpful. Easy access to the shopping mall. Worth paying.

Nice and clean hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet is good. Close to sunway lagoon and shopping mall. Other than that, not many things within walking distance, so many be good for short stay. Overall nice hotel.
