Paradise Bay Hotel Mellieha Rooms

- The hotel is conveniently located at Malta's Northern Tip, just minutes away from the Island's best beaches. The Islands of Gozo and Comino are only an easy boat ride away. A regular scheduled public bus service operates from just outside the main entrance of the hotel to the Cities of Sliema, Valletta, Mosta, St. Paul's Bay, Birkirkara, Mellieha and all the other towns can be connected via Valletta or Sliema.

Paradise Bay Resort Hotel
My new wife and I had a room which had a view of Paradise Bay. The service we received from the staff was excellent and the food was way above our expectations. As a chef in a previous life, I was totally impressed by the food that was on offer for the buffet dinner every night. Good selection and plenty of it. Breakfast was the same in that the selection was plentiful and as much as we could eat. The staff went above and beyond when my wife lost a blouse which blew off the balcony during a windy day. We searched the premises for the item, but without any joy. Staff were alerted to the loss and two days later, the gardener found the blouse in a flower border and handed it in to reception. The location of Paradise Bay Resort was perfect for us, although anyone looking for a busy night life may not agree. There are good opportunities within the Hotel for entertainment, but as it is a ten minute bus ride to the nearest town, people looking for altenative restaurants or pubs may prefer to stay within a town. But, we loved it. We were two minutes walk from the Gozo Ferry terminal and had a fantastic view of Comino Island and Gozo Island, and a marvelous vista of the Mediterranean. In the 10 days we were there, we went into Valletta three times on the bus (we did not hire a car and didn't need one), at a cost of 1.16 Euros each time. Melleiha was ten minutes away, and we visited there almost daily. The Paradise Bay Resort was an excellent location for us in that it was quiet, but towns were very accessible by very cheap bus rides (not to mention entertaining - bus drivers are good in the narrow streets but only know two speeds, fast and stop). We often sunbathed by two of the four pools available, and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of the environment. In all, the experience made for an excellent honeymoon, and we are already planning to celebrate our anniversary in Malta at the Paradise Bay Resort.

OK Hotel/great location/excellent value
Hotel was good, but not great. Our room had been remodeled and was very nice, but the unremodeled rooms looked only OK. Best location on the Island, with excellent uncrowded (for Malta) private beach. Hotel staff were not particularly friendly/helpful, but seemed better then the norm for the island.
