Infinity pool
unfortunately the weather was too windy and chilly to use the infinity pool on the roof and the bar there doesn't open out of season. the indoor pool is ideal for most swimmers at just 120cm deep, but could do with being slightly warmer. loved the saunas and steam room, would have also liked hotel to have had a jacuzzi though. Gym also available for those interested! Great views from roof top and pool and bar must be fantastic in summer.

Money-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
Book an open top bus tour ( choice of two ) and get a free two harbours cruise to use any day. Water taxi to Valetta from Sliema less than 2 euros. Local wine much cheaper than imported and very drinkable.

convenient, comfortable, well placed, bright and clean, cheerful staff
Although we went in january which is not the warmest monnth, we had a very enjoyable stay and found lots to do. hotel is close to Silema Ferries which take you across to Valetta and all the Hop on Hop off buses staryt from there which is very convenient. The cafes, bars and shops of Silema are very close but the hotel is in a quiet location

Fancy but friendly, really great stay
Fancy hotel with friendly staff, located on a bit quieter street just steps from the seafront and restaurants/shops. Excellent and modern-decorated, bright rooms, great rooftop pool and rooftop restaurant/bar (excellent for night views on city while dining). Breakfast buffet is very good, there's an indoor pool, sauna, steam room, gym and spa. Downstairs cafe is very nice to have lunch or catch some sun over teatime (service a little slow but fine.) The lobby is comfy, they show daily weather forecasts and concierge helps with small issues, reservations, etc. There's free parking, only you have to pay for WiFi. It may be an expensive hotel but worth it, when you see what you get for your money. We were very happy!

Dining tip:
Short drive from hotel
Zest Restaurant (Asian and fusion), Barracuda Restaurant (Western and seafood) and Lulu Restaurant (Western) - all in the Sliema/St Julian's area, a short drive from Palace Hotel, were our favourite places to eat. Order the Char Kway Teow or the Laksa at Zest - as authentic as they can get outside Malaysia, and the Philipino waiters are super-friendly; order the Crepe Suzette at Barracuda - best ever! We ate everywhere with our teenage kids and they were treated with great respect.

My long weekend getaway
Malta is a great holiday getaway. I stayed at the Palace Hotel in Sliema. The hotel was great. They offer you the local soft-drink of Kinnie while they check you into the hotel. The room had two single-beds and I asked for a one bed room and the staff was great and timely changing our room. The cleaning staff was very friendly. The hotel staff assisted with all questions. The Tempt-Asian restaurant offers a great panoramic view and the food is wonderful. The pool is amazing! While it is not in the capital it is a short walk into the downtown area where you can take daily ferries to Valetta. Paceville is nearby with a taxi if you want to experience the night-life of a cocktail and dancing at the clubs.

Day trip to Gozo. It is well-worth it. We took a taxi to the ferry and over to Gozo. We paid 50 Euro for 1/2 day trip where Giuseppe (Driver) we met right out of the Gozo ferry entrance. He took us to the Citadel Victoria, the Church, an Amazing lunch right on the sea at this quaint restaurant called Azuella where the Red Snapper was fantastic, and then to the Blue Window at sunset. It was a beautiful, romantic and unforgettable day. If you have a chance to go to Gozo I recommend skipping the blue grotto on the island of Malta. The blue window experience is far better on Gozo.

My Honeymoon Trip!
This hotel was beautiful! The pool was amazing. The staff was super friendly and they upgraded our regular room to a jr. suite which was perfect because we were on our honeymoon. The suite was PERFECT! The terrace had a great view of Sliema. The rooftop restaurant- TempAsia- was great and the day we were there, they had fireworks and it was just gorgeous!

schönes Hotel in ruhiger Lage
